JahRiffe Confirmed For The “We’re Groovin Music Series” In Boston

JahRiffe and his Jah-N-I Roots Band have been confirmed, and will perform at the We’re Groovin Music Series, happening this Friday, December 15, at Oasis Restaurant & Bar – 33 Hancock Street – in Boston, Massachusetts. The singer, who has always been committed to delivering powerful messages of growth through Rastafari and ancestral wisdom, is promising nothing but potent authentic roots-reggae music in a venue most known for its soul. 

Furthermore, he will use the opportunity to share his latest single, Twin Flame, released via Jah-N-I Roots Movement on October 11th. The unusual lovers-rock tune has been capturing the attention of music critiques, and is also enjoying favorable placement on reggae platforms worldwide. 

That said, all are invited to attend the We’re Groovin Music Series, which starts at 6:00 PM (local time), and will run until midnight. Admission is free before 9:00 PM, with a $15 entrance fee after.

Real Retro Rock!

Take a journey through the 70s, 80s, and 90s with Leroy Sibbles, General Trees, Admiral Bailey, Ken Boothe and Admiral Tibet, at an event called Real Retro Rock. Set for Saturday, December 16, it will be held at Fyah Side Jerk Tolgate in Clarendon, Jamaica.

The men will be supported by Donovan Dacres (from RJR), Marlon Famous from (Roses FM), and the year to year Metro Media Sound System. General admission is $2,500 JMD; VIP is $4,000.

You’re Invited To Clinton Fearon’s Birthday Jam

Accomplished Jamaican reggae singer and musician, Clinton Fearon, who is based in the U.S., will be celebrating his 73rd earth-day on Saturday, January 13, 2024. As is tradition, he will mark the occasion with an Acoustic Reggae Jam Session at Nectar Lounge – 412 North 36th Street – in Seattle, Washington State.

Fearon will be joined by KEXP 90.3 FM’s radio host DJ Kid Hops, as well as several of his other musical friends and colleagues. Click here for tickets.

Tracks Live Session Returns With I-Wayne

Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records is bringing back the wildly popular Tracks Live Session! The show, which will be hosted by Kamila McDonald, returns on December 13 with performances by I-Wayne and Ras-I.

Starting time is 9:00 PM and there is a $2,500 JMD admission fee. This conscious wave event is being presented by Red Stripe.

“Big Up Miss Lou” With Oliver Samuels, Fab 5 & Others

The Louise Bennett Coverly Festival, in collaboration with Jamaica College, present a fun-filled family show honoring Jamaican poet, folklorist, writer, and educator, Louise Bennett, affectionately referred to as Miss Lou.

The event, which is titled Big Up Miss Lou, features Oliver Samuels, Fab 5, Lillian Allen, Owen ‘Blakka’ Ellis, Tania Lou, Charmaine Limonious, Joy Fairclough, Kathy Brown, Kingston Rock, and more. The MCs are Janet Silvera and Coleen Douglas.

It all goes down on Saturday, December 9th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium (Jamaica College) on Old Hope Road in Kingston. Admission fee for adults is $5,000 JMD; while students and seniors will pay $2,500.
