Musician and Producer Wyah Steps Forward with “One Man Band”

After years of contributing his talents to the success of other artists—including Chevelle Franklin, Jimmy Cliff, Kevin Downswell, Tarrus Riley, and John Legend—musician and producer Wyah reached a turning point in his career and decided to create a project of his own. With a clear vision for the sound and message he wanted to deliver, he began reaching out to fellow musicians and collaborators he had worked with over the years.

Although many initially expressed interest in participating, the reality changed when it was time to enter the studio. Much of the expected support faded, leaving Wyah to confront the challenge of moving forward largely on his own. Rather than allowing the setback to discourage him, he chose to rely on the resilience and determination that had shaped his career.

Out of that experience came the song “One Man Band”, a deeply personal reflection of perseverance and faith. The track captures Wyah’s resolve to continue creating even when support feels limited.

While the title suggests independence, the message behind “One Man Band” is not about isolation. Instead, it highlights the importance of believing in one’s purpose and pressing forward, even when the path feels lonely. Ultimately, the song stands as an anthem of resilience for anyone determined to rise above obstacles and pursue their calling.

“One Man Band” went live on streaming platforms on February 7th via Wyah‘s own imprint Barbwyah Studios.
