On June 15th, African Museum Records released a remix of the mega hit “Night Nurse,” originally performed by iconic reggae artist Gregory Isaacs. The new version features various artists and musicians from all over the world: Flabba Holt, Mr. Vegas, Dotta Coppa, Papa Michigan, Kenny Smyth, Darrio (Jamaica); Rocky Dawuni (Ghana), Wyre (Kenya), Megumi Mesaku (Japan/UK), Glenny (Suriname), Afrikan Simba (Nigeria), IZA (Poland /Germany/USA), Kayafyahouse (Cap Verde) and Adonai (Brazil).

Veteran reggae artist, Everton Blender, is promoting a new collaboration done with the dancehall king, Beenie Man, called “Slackness.” On the bouncy one-drop tune both men highlight a number of things that they find to be troubling.

“Slackness” was officially released at the end of May and is live on iTunes and all other music platforms.

On June 11th, international reggae artist Chronixx released a new single dubbed “Same Prayer.” The track is a collaboration done with another heavy-weight in the reggae industry, Kabaka Pyramid.

“Same Prayer” is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Chronixx; it is a powerful, beautiful and captivating song that is sure to be a hit. The video, which was published a few days later, is simple but effective. Click here to watch and remember to like, comment and share.

At the beginning of June reggae singer Glen Washington surprised us all by releasing a new gospel single. The song is titled “How Great Is Our Father,” and though it sounds like a Rastafarian praise and worship song, it was Glen who publicly said that it’s gospel.
