On Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th, TD will present the 2020 Grace Jerk Festival in a digital format. They have confirmed international acts Alison Hinds, Beenie Man, Jah Cure and Lila Iké; and all the aforementioned will be supported by various local artists.

Dancehall artist Bling Dawg is in the spotlight once again, because of his latest single “God Is Amazing.” The powerful reggae track was officially released on July 17th, but the video and a promo mp3 were shared days earlier.

Fans and supporters of Kabaka Pyramid are in a frenzy today, as the artist just dropped his new song and video, “Babylon Fallin.” The single, which is on the One Time Music, Island Wav and Bebble Rock Music labels, is all about racism, inequality and the revolution we are all witnessing.

When I first heard that several established artists entered the 2020 Jamaica Festival Song Competition, I immediately began questioning their motives. My thinking was that the competition should be left to emerging acts only, so that they can use it as a launching platform for their careers.
I quickly changed my thinking after hearing some of the songs in the top ten. I have to say that the big acts really delivered, and you can hear their love for Jamaica in every line of their songs. One track that I am personally enjoying is Buju Banton‘s entry “I Am A Jamaican.” Click here or on the image above to check out both the song and video.
