Ric Carbi Asks “Where Do We Go From Here” On New Reggae Release (@ricc_18 @RV_TROOTS)

Ric Carbi is gradually emerging as an artist the industry is gravitating to at the moment. His consistency over the last few years has not gone unnoticed.

On the back of a very productive 2021, despite the challenges of the pandemic, Carbi has managed to deliver several singles that have all gotten support from local and international radio stations, including the BBC network.

“2022 will be a breakthrough year”; proclaims Ric Carbi, who has just released his first single for this calendar year. The melodious reggae tune, titled Where Do We Go From Here, was produced by two U.K. based labels, Senator B Music and Troots Music. The song has an irresistible flow and a classical sound reminiscent of authentic seventies and eighties reggae music.

Where Do We Go From Here was written by Ric Carbi and Randy Valentine – an established singer, songwriter who said: “let’s go in the studio and write a song together that can evoke some emotion when listened to.” It was then recorded at Optimum Studios in South London.

Once it was voiced, mixed and mastered, and persons began reacting to it in a favorable manner, Carbi reiterated: “hopefully the song will be one of the reggae songs to capture the audience and take my musical aspirations further this year and beyond.” Musical styles of Ric Carbi‘s favorite artists – John Holt, Alton Ellis and Dennis Brown – can be heard on the record.

Where Do We Go From Here is now available on all digital music platforms, and the official video is forthcoming.

Recording Artiste Twiggi On The Comeback Trail With “My Garden” (@twiggibird @bigfeetrecords)

Recording artiste Twiggi is back with a fresh sound in the form of a new single titled “My Garden.” Produced by Big Feet Records, the track officially dropped on February 11, 2022.

“It’s a love song, where the man has all the attributes that every woman’s heart desires. I would call him ‘the perfect man’ – the man that embodies true and pure love, that leaves his woman constantly in awe,” the singer explained.

A step away from her usual sound, the artiste decided to try something new on this track.

“The final product to me is quite unique, not the usual Twiggi style but worth the experience. It’s well mixed and mastered, which is very important to me. Overall, I’m pleased with it,” the singer expressed.

Connected to Big Feet Records through the label’s newly appointed music consultant Fitzroy Francis, the collaboration was a seamless one.

“Working with Big Feet Records was delightful to say the least. Professionalism is a big priority with their team, their word is their bond and I also love the fact that they work with the artiste musically to get the final product of the best quality,” the artiste stated.

Prior to “My Garden”, Twiggi has released quite a few hit songs, such as the recent track “When I Think About You.” The September 2021 release, produced by Donovan Germaine, is a classic old school Reggae love song. In addition, she has also released other songs such as “It’s Too Late”, “Where Did The Love Go”, “Do Me Baby” and “Want It” featuring Buju Banton.

While dealing with the setbacks of not being able to travel and tour at this time, Twiggi has been channeling that energy into the studio, with new works in the process.

“I have quite a few new projects coming out for 2022 starting with “My Garden”, as well as some music videos and promotions, plus some events if the pandemic clears,” she revealed.

“My Garden” is now available for purchase and streaming on major digital platforms online.

King Jazzy Returns With A Banging Dance Track “Body Move” (@kingjazzyBee @bridgewayartist)

King Jazzy continues to show his creativity and the depth of his versatility with the release of his latest single, Body Move. The up-tempo house track, which is slowly becoming a favorite at street dances in Jamaica, was released in the latter part of January.

The production process was a team effort that included partners Meeshka and Motor City Mello, with King Jazzy focusing on the lead lines on the keyboard as well as the song’s lyrical composition. It was recorded at Detroit’s Workshop Studio at the beginning of the year and then shared on his Electric Sticky label shortly thereafter.

In a recent interview done with Blast King TV, King Jazzy lamented on the difficulty his management team is having as it relates to marketing him effectively. This is because he is capable of doing various musical styles with ease, and as such cannot be tied to one particular genre.

Anyone who has listened to just a few songs in King Jazzy‘s catalog will empathize with his camp, after hearing him go from roots-reggae to hip-hop to EDM effortlessly.

Little Hero (Short Biography)

Paul Gayle (born 1972), better known by his stage name Little Hero, is an established Jamaican reggae singer, who is affectionately referred to as Hero by his peers.

Hailing from Farm Town, Discovery Bay, St Ann, Little Hero emerged in the early 90s. He had his first recording with producer Courtney Cole in 1992, but did not get the appropriate recognition until 1994 when he had his first major success with the hit song God Alone. This was a huge collaboration that was done with dancehall artist Merciless and Action Fire.

God Alone was featured on Hero‘s debut album – Revelation – which was released sometime between 07 and 09. Although the record initially premiered in Japan it was eventually published worldwide to his very receptive fanbase, who supported it so much so that it entered the Billboard Top Reggae Albums Chart at number one.

Little Hero Followed the release of his Revelation album by sharing More Love in 2013 (Delroy Roberts Music) and Summer Holiday in 2020 (Ochi City Records). In between his full length projects he has consistently recorded singles for various producers.

One of his most recent singles is Keep On Shining; an inspirational, upbeat, dancehall song that he did for Paul Patmore Productions.
