Tony Curtis’ Euphonious Lovers-Rock Tune “Touch” Drops On August 19 (@tonycurtismusic)
On one of his recent social media post, reggae singer Tony Curtis – who was sending a message to emerging artists at the time – said: “you have to pay 100% love and respect to the music; so give music a hundred percent if you love it.” That sentiment is audible on his upcoming single, Touch; done for Big Feet Records.
The man who works as both a solo artist and a member of the reggae quartet L.U.S.T (with Lukie-D, Thriller-U and Singing Melody), has truly poured himself into Touch. With well written words and a smooth melody, Curtis tells the story of a man, whose separation from his lover has led to sleepless nights and bouts of depression.
After listening to this song, it becomes very clear why Tony Curtis – someone who’s been making hit songs since the early 90s – remains relevant, while so many others have fallen off.
Touch, the sweet-sounding lovers-rock tune, will be officially released on Friday, August 19th. And as is the case with all projects done by Big Feet Records, Touch will be distributed by VPal Music (a subsidiary of VP Records).
Stevie Malekuu Cannot Be Denied! “What Will Be” Will Be!
Costa Rican American singer-songwriter Stevie Malekuu has stepped on the international reggae stage! The emerging star, who lives in Florida, is signed to Jamaican music imprint My MM Productions – a label owned and operated by Florida based Jamaican Orville Marshall.
Malekuu‘s name began circulating in and around the reggae industry at the beginning of the year when he shared Don’t Trust Dem; his initial release with the aforementioned label. Despite the fact that the song is solid, it is only now – with the publishing of his most recent tune, What Will Be (released on July 14) – that he is starting to get an attentive audience.
Regarding the inspiration behind the record, Stevie Malekuu explains: “we wrote the song under the influence of today’s fast pace and rapidly changing world. Everyone is panicking as the unknown looms larger than ever but despite what is happening around us each of us have to take a stand to accept what we know to be true. We need to accept the many things that will surely be and focus on the positive things in life that we can control.”
Persons that contributed to the production process are: Stevie Malekuu, Roxwell “Rocky” Smith, Ritchie Mair, Wayne Armond and Orville Marshall.

Jimmy Cliff Preps For Album Release & Shares Lead Single “Refugees” (@jimmycliff)
At the end of July, Jimmy Cliff shared the lead single from his upcoming album, Refugees. The song – with the same title – is done in collaboration with American rapper/singer Wyclef Jean. Both men effectively represented their respective genres on the dance version of the tune.
A day before it went live Jimmy Cliff issued the following statement about Refugees: “Refugees is not just a song, but a movement. As a humanitarian, I wrote the song due to emotional feelings towards freedom taken away from human beings. None of us should be forced by violence, economics, war or persecution to leave our country against our will.”
Refugees, the single, is now available on all music platforms; while the full album will be released on August 12th.
