The highly anticipated new album from Teflon, the Young King, is now out on all music platforms. It was released on September 16 via AC Muzyk LLC and Teflon‘s own Yard A Love Records.
The project – titled Tears Of Joy – has a total of twelve tracks and no collaborative features. And while the lyrics, which is steeped in spirituality, accentuates Teflon‘s Rastafarian believes and way of life, the actual music (rhythms/beats) are predominantly reggae.
Richie Stephens has just shared another single from the new album Reverse the Curse, which was released at the end of August (26). The song is titled Born Blessed and it features super producer and vocalist Goodboy Elliot, who hails from The Gambia, and fast-rising U.S.A based Jamaican artist Mario Cheef, who is also a producer.
Together the three men, along with BoomRich Productions,Essential Musik and Pot of Gold Production – the imprints responsible for the creation of the song – are making waves across continents. The way in which people are gravitating to this new single is truly mind blowing; and with the official video now out, it is anticipated that it will expand to an even wider audience.
That said, Born Blessed – the inspirational afrobeat tune – is on track to join other successful songs from the album: Valley (the lead single released in January) and Reverse the Curse (the title track released in June). The video for Valley currently has approximately 1.2 million views on YouTube; while Reverse the Curse – the song – has over 2 million. This latest video, Born Blessed, which was uploaded only a few days ago is already sitting at over 200 thousand views.

The latest release from the Big Feet Records camp is Nobody Care; a bouncy reggae tune performed by veteran roots artist Anthony B. Both the song and its lyric video went live on all music platforms earlier today: Friday, September 16; and as such, can now be streamed and downloaded worldwide.
On the record Anthony laments on the unfortunate state of the world; a world where everyone seems more concerned about what they can gain as oppose to what they can give. The Rastafarian sing-jay also issues a warning to his listeners, advising them to be careful of everyone, even friend and family.
Nobody Care was produced by Josh Harris exclusively for Big Feet Records. He played both bass and keyboards, while Santa Davis played the drums, with Jallanzo on lead guitar. It was harmonized by veteran vocalist Nikki Burt; mixed by Tommi Tikkanen and mastered by Earle Holder.

It has been exactly two weeks since the release of Tanya Stephens‘ album, Some Kinda Madness, and the reviews and feedbacks are pouring in. The general consensus, especially from music industry insiders, is that both Tanya Stephens and producer Tad A. Dawkins Jnr. knocked it out the park!
One of the most noteworthy things about the record is Tanya Stephens‘ songwriting prowess. As one entertainment blogger puts it: “one thing about Tanya Stephens she don’t play with pen and paper she’s superb with her lyrics.” That sentiment is echoed by almost everyone who’ve heard the twenty-track masterpiece, which was published on September 2nd by Tad’s Record Inc.
The ultimate confirmation of Some Kinda Madness‘ early success is its entrance on The Foundation Radio Network’s Top 20 Album/CDs Chart. It entered at #14 and is now sitting in the #13 position. This is in part a credit to the accomplished marketing team at Tad’s Record, which also strategically shared the official video for Not Today– track #9 – around the same time the album went live on streaming platforms.
As she has always done, Tanya remained true to herself on this project. Her madness is on full display on the songs Too Much Party, Zig Ziggler, Fifty, Aloe Vera and Jezebel; but it was balanced out by some of the more profound tracks: Weight in Gold, Diamonds in the Sun, River etc. The combination of party songs and heartfelt tunes done on dancehall, reggae, acoustic and world rhythms; with Stephens‘ masterful writing and Tad Jr.‘s creativity, have resulted in an impressive album that is sure to go down as one of Tanya‘s best.
