On Saturday, April 18th, there will be a global broadcast and digital special to support frontline healthcare workers as well as the World Health Organization. The event, which is titled ‘One World Together at Home,’ will broadcast on most major TV networks and social media platforms.

Bilal’s Cincinnati Concert Rescheduled To August 8th (@Bilal)

Bilal‘s concert that was initially scheduled for March 28th in Cincinnati has been rescheduled to Saturday, August 8th.

It will take place at the The Ludlow Garage, located at 342 Ludlow Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio. Starting time is 8:30 PM and it will go until 11:30 PM (local time). Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.

Why We Are Reluctant To Post Events Scheduled For May & June Of This Year

We have been getting a lot of requests from event promoters, primarily in the United States, asking us to do a write up about their show that’s scheduled for early summer. The idea, we believe, is to get the word out to potential patrons, letting them know that the program is still on despite covid-19.

Normally we wouldn’t mind posting about such events, but when we see what is happening in parts of the U.S., it is hard to imagine that these shows will still go on uninterrupted.

As a company, we here at Maria Jackson Magazine are very careful to publish only accurate and authentic information. As such we are reluctant, at least for now, to post about any offline event set for May and early June.

Alicia Keys‘ new book titled More Myself: A Journey is now on the New York Times’ best sellers list. The book, which is the first release on Oprah Winfrey’s imprint An Oprah Book, was originally published on March 31st.

More Myself is part autobiography and part narrative documentary. Alicia‘s journey is revealed not only through her own candid recounting, but also through vivid recollections from those who have walked alongside her.

At the end of March, American soul singer, Brian McKnight, released the visuals for his new single “Nobody.” The song, which is dedicated to his wife who is also in the video, was published on the SoNo Recording Group label on March 13th.

Soul Music Legend Bill Withers Dead At 81

81 year old American soul music legend, Bill Withers, passed away on March 30th, from heart complications. Withers was best known for his soulful hits: “Lean On Me,” Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Lovely Day.”

The songwriter and musician died in Los Angeles leaving everyone completely heartbroken. Ironically, his song “Lean On Me” has become an anthem for those on the front line of the corona virus pandemic.
