Singer UMI & Rapper Lupe Fiasco Will Perform Live For Grubhub This Friday! (@LupeFiasco @whoisumi @Grubhub)

On Friday, August 7th, at 7:00 PM EST, Grubhub will host a live-stream to raise funds to support World Central Kitchen. The objective is to donate up to $100,000 to Black-owned restaurants and underfed communities.

The live-stream will feature performances, as well as a question and answer segment by singer/songwriter UMI and hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco.

Recording artist and musician Mali Music is voicing his disapproval for America’s Confederacy in his own way. In the visuals for his song “Cry” the confederate flag can be seen burning as a young black boy looks on.

For those not familiar, the Confederate States of America, commonly referred to as the Confederacy, was an unrecognized breakaway state that fought against the United States during the American Civil War.

Mary J. Blige Will Be Re-releasing Her Sophomore Album “My Life” In September (@maryjblige)

Mary J. Blige, the legendary singer-songwriter, actress, philanthropist and honorary Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, will re-release her acclaimed 1994 sophomore album, My Life, on September 28th via Geffen/UMe.

The album, which celebrated its 25th anniversary on November 29, 2019, will be released in two physical forms: a standard weight black double vinyl, and a triple vinyl edition in translucent blue, including bonus tracks featuring LL Cool J, and Smif ‘N Wessun.

The 3LP edition will also be available digitally and feature commentary by Mary J. Blige on the original album tracks.
