America’s former first lady, Michelle Obama, has shared a list of songs that are either featured on, or inspired by her new podcast. The list. which can be found on spotify has approximately 41 tracks.
Among those selected are: “Black Parade” by Beyonce, “Hair Down” by SIR and Kendrick Lamar, “Down To Earth” by UMI, “Still Blue” by Jill Scott and SIR, “Being Is Believing” by John Forte, Talib Kweli and Ben Taylor; plus many more. Head over to spotify to check it out.
At the end of May, two R&B giants – Ne-Yo and Jeremih – collaborated on, and released the hit single, “U 2 Luv.” They’re now following up with the official video, which was just uploaded to Ne-Yo‘s channel.

At the end of May, r&b singer Mýa shared a record that can only be described as positive, beautiful and very much needed as we deal with all the changes the world is going through right now. The track is titled “Space & Time” and it’s basically her explaining the importance of taking time out and getting away from all the madness.

On Friday, August 7th, at 7:00 PM EST, Grubhub will host a live-stream to raise funds to support World Central Kitchen. The objective is to donate up to $100,000 to Black-owned restaurants and underfed communities.
The live-stream will feature performances, as well as a question and answer segment by singer/songwriter UMI and hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco.
Recording artist and musician Mali Music is voicing his disapproval for America’s Confederacy in his own way. In the visuals for his song “Cry” the confederate flag can be seen burning as a young black boy looks on.
For those not familiar, the Confederate States of America, commonly referred to as the Confederacy, was an unrecognized breakaway state that fought against the United States during the American Civil War.

Mary J. Blige, the legendary singer-songwriter, actress, philanthropist and honorary Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, will re-release her acclaimed 1994 sophomore album, My Life, on September 28th via Geffen/UMe.
The album, which celebrated its 25th anniversary on November 29, 2019, will be released in two physical forms: a standard weight black double vinyl, and a triple vinyl edition in translucent blue, including bonus tracks featuring LL Cool J, and Smif ‘N Wessun.
The 3LP edition will also be available digitally and feature commentary by Mary J. Blige on the original album tracks.
“B7,” the new album from R&B singer Brandy, is now available on all music platforms.
This is the singer’s first album in eight (8) years. It has fifteen tracks and three collaborations: Sy’Rai, Chance the Rapper and Daniel Caesar. “B7” is on the Brand Nu, Inc. and Entertainment One U.S. labels.
