Divas Simply Singing‘ is one of the longest running annual HIV/AIDS benefit event held in the Los Angeles area. It was created by Sheryl Lee Ralph, who has lost a few friends to the virus.

The 30th annual ‘Divas Simply Singing,’ which is scheduled for December 5th, will broadcast on KTLA 5 News at 7:00 PM PT and will stream live online via divassimplysinging dot com. Some of the confirmed performers include: Jenifer Lewis, Leslie Odom, Stephanie Mills,Lalah Hathaway, Kenny Lattimore, Anthony Hamilton, The Clark Sisters,Oleta Adam, Thelma Houston, Jody Watley, Alex Newell, Gloria Gaynor and others.

American producer Salaam Remi has released a seventeen-track (17) album titled “Black On Purpose.” The project is literally a melting pot of black musical sounds: hip-hop, funk, soul, dancehall etc.

As Salaam Remi is known for his association with some of biggest names in the music industry, the album features the who is who in urban music, namely: CeeLo Green, Black Thought, Common, Chronixx, Super Cat, Bilal, and that is just to name a few.

Jill Scott Announces New Podcast (@missjillscott)

In a newsletter sent out on November 11th, R&B singer Jill Scott told her subscribers that she will be partnering with iHeart Media for a new weekly podcast called “J.Ill.”

The show, which will be centered around everything that comes with surviving and thriving as a Black woman in today’s world, will be done with Laiya Stclair and Aja Graydon. The first episode will air on November 18th and will continue every Wednesday there after.
