The 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards was recorded on Friday, September 30th at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. However, it was not televised until Tuesday, October 4th when it aired on BET, BET Her, MTV2 and VH1. Below is a list of all the winners.

Maxwell’s The Night Tour Continues Through The Fall (@MAXWELL)

Following his Vegas residency in July at the Encore Theater and a headline performance at Napa’s Blue Note Jazz Festival, R&B legend Maxwell will continue to receive an outpouring of support from fans and critics alike, as he takes The Night Tour into the fall.

Throughout the month of October he will make stops in Hollywood, Jacksonville, Raleigh, Wilmington, Greenville, North Little Rock, Brandon and Mobile; before going on to Baltimore and Oxon Hill in November. Get all locations and links to tickets here.

The “R&B Music Experience” Heads To Columbus On Oct. 29

The R&B Music Experience Tour, which is now moving across the northeastern territories in the United States, will make its next stop in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, October 29th at Nationwide Arena.

There will be performances by Monica, Tevin Campbell, Dru Hill, Tamar Braxton, 112 and Shai; with hosts DJ Aone and Lando Chapman. Tickets are available on ticketmaster.

The Millennium Tour, Turned Up! Kicks Off Next Month (@BlackPromoters)

Some of the biggest 90s hip-hop and RnB stars will head out on the road next month – starting on the 7th – for a 24-city stretch called The Millennium Tour, Turned Up!

Confirmed artists are: Bow Wow, Mario, Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Pleasure P, Bobby V, Sammie, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy, Dem Franchize Boyz, Lil Scrappy, Travis Porter, Crime Mob, Trillville, and the reunion of Day 26.

Lyfe Jennings & Vivian Green To Perform At AAMU 2022 Homecoming

Alabama A&M University’s homecoming week kicks off this Saturday, September 24, and will run until October 1st. It will feature a clash between the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs and Bethune Cookman Wildcats; with a number of events and activities all week long.

On the schedule – for Friday, September 30th – is the Alumni Day Party with Lyfe Jennings and Vivian Green. It will be held at the Quad, starting at 4pm. This is a free concert.

This Saturday Classic Dance Music Will Meet Hip-Hop At Toronto’s Just For Laugh Street Festival

For one night only, Russell Peters‘ Old School Mixtape Live concert will bring together classic dance music legends with some of the most celebrated rappers in history. The event will be hosted at Toronto’s Just For Laugh Street Festival, which will run from September 23rd to the 25th at Front Street East and Berczy Park.

The Old School Mixtape Live goes down on Saturday, September 24th; with performances by Big Daddy Kane, EPMD, Crystal Waters, Nice & Smooth, Renee Neufvill (from Zhane) and Flavor Flav. This event is absolutely free to the public.

PJ Morton’s “Watch The Sun Tour” Will Stop In Baltimore On Oct. 23rd (@PJMORTON)

A few months ago PJ Morton kicked off his Watch The Sun Tour in support of his 8th studio album with the same name. It started in New Orleans at the Jazz & Heritage Festival, and have since made stops in several cities across the U.S., as well as two locations in Europe.

We are now learning that said tour, which was to wrap up on October 1st at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been extended. PJ Morton will now play at The Rams Head Live in Baltimore on Sunday, October 23rd at 8pm. Get tickets and additional information here.
