
Join hip-hop ambassadors Questlove and DMC, alongside the CD Baby team and dozens of other industry experts this August 16th through the 18th in Austin, Texas. Both of these Hip-Hop ambassadors will be at the event to share their wisdom, meet the DIY artist community, and deliver inspiring keynotes!
Questlove (drummer and band leader of The Roots) will explore the tools and technology that can support a musician’s creativity and business goals. While Darryl McDaniels (aka DMC from pioneering hip-hop group Run-D.M.C.) will reveal some things you rarely see beneath celebrity success. He’ll talk about his struggles, triumphs and how he reconnected with the power and meaning of his own musical life.
The Bay Area’s throw back station, Q102.1 FM, will be hosting a concert dubbed ‘Hot Summer Night’ on Sunday, September 1st. The event, which will be held at the Concord Pavilion (2000 Kirker Pass Rd) in Concord, California, will feature performances by Blackstreet, Ginuwine, SWV, Dru Hill, Guy, 112 and other popular R&B stars from back in the day.
