On Sunday, December 22nd, hip-hop great, Ghostface Killah, will do a set at Yoshi’s (510 Embarcadero West) in Oakland, California at 7:00 PM local time.
Like all members of the Wu-Tang Clan, the rapper used the group as a launching pad for a solo career, which was assisted greatly by other members of the Clan, particularly producer RZA.
Nigerian recording artist Wande Coal, known as the king of African pop music, will be releasing a six-track EP in March, 2020. The project, which is titled Realms, will feature his two latest singles: Vex and Ode Lo Like.
On Monday, December 23rd, Musiq Soulchild will perform at the City Winery (650 North Avenue) in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an early event that’s schedule to begin at 7:00 PM (local time). Click here for tickets.
In early December, Canadian pop artist Daniel Caesar shared the video for his remix of “Cyanide” featuring Jamaican sensation Koffee. The visuals, which were directed by Keavan Yazdani and Sean Brown, shows a more laid-back, subdued side of Koffee, who always comes off assertive in her videos.

Last week dancehall recording artist Karamanti announced that she will be giving away copies of her album, “Hurt People,” over the holiday season. In a message to her followers on social media and subscribers to her mailing list, she wrote the following:

The Hip-Hop Nutcracker is a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless music. A unique and joyful event, this evening-length production is performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, a DJ, a violinist, and MC Kurtis Blow, one of hip-hop’s founding fathers, who opens the show with a short set. Though the tour is coming to an end, there are still a few dates left; see below.
