Kweli Is Making It Clear That NYC Is Still The Home Of Hip-Hop

On his newly released single with Diamond D, Talib Kweli is making it clear that New York is still the home of real hip-hop. The record which is titled “On Mamas” will be featured on the upcoming “Gotham” album, a collaborative project by both Talib Kweli and Diamond D.

Santa Cruz’s Popular Live Music Venue ‘Moe’s Alley’ Now Under New Management (@MoesAlleysc)

Moe’s Alley – located in Santa Cruz, California – is one of the most sought after live venues for touring artists. The location welcomes all genre of music, from roots reggae to hardcore hip-hop and everything in between. Unfortunately, after what has been a very trying year for persons within the music industry, the owners have decided to sell the club.

The good news however, is that the new owners, Lisa and Brian, have committed to keeping the music alive. They are now renovating the venue and will make a formal announcement once they are ready to reopen.

“The Violent Heart” – New Movie Starring Mary J. Blige To Be Released On Feb. 19th (@maryjblige)

The 2020 American drama film “The Violent Heart,” which stars pop artist Mary J. Blige, is scheduled to be released on February 19th, 2021 by Gravitas Ventures. It had its world premiere at the Deauville Film Festival last September.

In addition to Mary J. Blige, the picture also features Jovan Adepo, Grace Van Patten, Lukas Haas, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Cress Williams and Jahi Di’Allo Winston. “The Violent Heart” was written and directed by Kerem Sanga.

Afropop artist Mr Eazi has just shared a new single titled “The Don,” along with details abouth his forthcoming EP, Something Else, which is due out on February 19th via his own Banku Music label and emPawa Africa

Produced by Killertunes and E Kelly, “The Don” is a laid back, opera-flavored afro-trap anthem that offers listeners a first taste of Something Else, and a window into Mr Eazi’s ever-expanding world.

In addition to Killertunes, E Kelly and Kel P, Something Else features production from Spellz, Blaq Jerzee, and Jaylon. Its lone guest feature comes from Kenya-based Xenia Manasseh, who was one of 30 emerging artists handpicked by Eazi to participate in the #emPawa30, the second round of emPawa Africa’s talent incubator program.

In the dancehall community recording artist Elephant Man is known as the energy king; I think that Busta Rhymes is the hip-hop equivalent of Elephant Man. Bussa Bus, as he is affectionately called, is one of the most entertaining, energetic and captivating rapper in all of hip-hop.

A few days ago he released the official video for the remix of “Czar.” The collaborative record features CJ and M.O.P.; and all the men were present for the video.
