Rakim Announces ‘Thank You’ Concert Scheduled For May 13th (@thegodrakim)

One of hip-hop’s most respected MCs, Rakim, has announced that he will be doing a ‘Thank You‘ concert on Thursday, May 13th, starting at 9 PM. According to the lyricist, this virtual performance is his way of showing his appreciation to the world of hip-hop.

Tickets for the event, which is being hosted by VH1’s Richie Dollaz (of Love & Hip-Hop New York), are available via Moment House.

On Friday, April 16th, both Dru Hill and Raheem Devaughn will be performing at the Arena Theatre, located at 7326 SW Freeway in Houston, Texas. This show is a part of the ‘Ladies Choice Concert Series,’ which is now taking place in States that have lifted their covid-19 restrictions.

After hyping it up for several days Jamaican reggae singer Warrior King finally shared his new single, “African Love,” done with Ghanaian artist MzVee. The record, which seems to be partially inspired by Garnett Silk‘s “Hello Mama Africa,” was officially released on April 9th via the Crawba record label.

Disc-Jock Redeem’s Show ‘Blenz’ Joins Maria Jackson Radio This Saturday (@IMREDEEM)

Blenz, the four-hour presentation by media personality Disc-Jock Redeem will broadcast on Maria Jackson Radio this Saturday and every Saturday thereafter. It will beginning airing at 12-noon EST.

The show includes musical selections, interactions and information pertaining to the hip-hop, reggae-dancehall, soul and R&B genres. Additionally, the DJR Unleash Global Chart, which gives independent and aspiring artists an added avenue by which they may obtain exposure, will be presented on the program. Blenz is not just entertaining, it is also informative and at times humorous. It’s a nice way to spend 4 hours.

DMX Succumbs To Heart Attack

It is with a heavy heart that we have to report that DMX has passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest last week. He had been on life support at the White Plains Hospital in New York, which is where he died on Friday, April 9th.

DJ Solo’s New Show ‘Solomotion’ Kicks Off This Saturday On Maria Jackson Radio

Starting this Saturday, and every Saturday thereafter, DJ Solo will be live on Maria Jackson Radio with his new show ‘Solomotion.’ The program, which will run from 10 PM to 12 AM EST, will see the veteran selector spinning the best slow jams.
