Popular event organizer and business man, Larry Morrow, will be keeping what is essentially a three-day birthday party this weekend.
The all black affair will commence on Friday at The Basement At Thirteen (1911 Bagby Street) in Houston; and will wrap up on Sunday at the Sekai Night & Day Club (1505 Saint Emanuel St) with a live performance from hip-hop heavyweight Fabolous.

Macy Gray and her backing band will be live at Blue Note Hawaii on consecutive dates later this month. She is confirmed for January 21st, 22nd and 23rd at the aforementioned music venue, which is located at 2335 Kalakaua Avenue in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Now that 2022 is here, fans and supporters of pop star Janet Jackson have begun counting down to the premiere of her documentary, which will air on both the Lifetime and A&E networks at the end of the month. The exact date and time is January 28th at 8/7c.
The film will give viewers a behind the scenes look into her life from childhood to present day. It will also feature several celebrities and public figures who all shared their thoughts and opinions about Miss Jackson and what she has accomplished to date.
This past summer Nigerian singer Fireboy DML, who is signed to the YBNL Nation imprint, released Peru. The afrobeat song became an instant club banger taking off in both Nigeria and Ghana.
Fast-forward to the end of December, which is when the remix was published. Interestingly, the new version features English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, whose presence on the track has automatically catapulted it into an international hit.

The American rock band JGB, which is led by electric organist Melvin Seals, will be live at Dark Star’s Jamaican Jam In The Sand this month. The event will take place at Jewel Paradise Cove Resort & Spa in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.
Although it’s scheduled for January 11th through to the 14th, Melvin Seals & JGB’s performance is confirmed for the 12th at 7pm local time. Get tickets here.
Billy Danze, one half of the American hip-hop duo M.O.P., has kicked off 2022 with the release of the official video for Won’t Lose. The song is featured on his new album, The Re-Listening Session, which was published on December 3rd via WeBusy Music.
