For three days (Oct 25th – 27th), the REVOLT Summit will take over the Magic Box – 1933 South Broadway – in Los Angeles, California all in a celebration of the hip-hop culture. Attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in exclusive keynotes, panels, industry conversations, interactive sessions and intimate performances.
Some of the talents that will be featured this year are: Killer Mike, Fat Joe, Angela Rye, Ava Duvernay, and that is just to name a few. Click here for tickets.

On Friday, October 25th, established hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco will perform at the Starland Ballroom (570 Jernee Mill Road) in Sayreville, New Jersey. This is an all ages event that’s scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
Lupe Fiasco will be supported by Papiheckito, Raw Ice, Alec Meza, Bobby Doc and Jethro Swagg. There is an entrance fee of $35.00 USD.

On Saturday, October 26th from Noon to 7:00 p.m., Imprint City will host the 4th annual BayviewLIVE Festival, the only festival in San Francisco solely dedicated to urban artists.
To help celebrate this year, Imprint City has secured hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes to perform on the Uproar segment of the event. BayviewLIVE Festival will be held at 1439 Egbert Avenue in San Francisco, California.

One of the most influential rappers of all time, Big Daddy Kane, will be doing back to back sets at Yoshi’s on Saturday, October 26th. The first set will be at 7:30 PM, while the second is scheduled for 9:30 PM.
Yoshi’s is located at 510 Embarcadero West, Jack London Square, in Oakland, California. Tickets start at $44 USD and go all the way up to $84 USD.

On Monday, October 7th, Yasiin Bey will be reading from selected poems (Ezra Pound, Hafiz, Rumi and others), as well as sharing special musical selections like Ethiopian throat singing and old Brazillian acoustic at the Wythe Hotel (80 Wythe Avenue) in Brooklyn, New York. This will be an intimate look into what informs his creativity.
It will be held from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. There is an admission fee of approximately $25 USD.
