The 2020 Austin City Limits Music Festival Now Officially Cancelled! (@aclfestival)

Austin City Limits Music FestivalThe organizers of the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival have just announced that they are cancelling the 2020 staging of the event. See below a statement that was shared on July 1st.

Austin City Limits Music Festival will no longer take place in 2020. We would have loved to put on another memorable show this year, however, with the uncertainty surrounding the current situation in Texas, this decision is the only responsible solution. The health and safety of our fans, artists, partners, staff and the entire Austin community remains our highest priority.

We will return to Zilker Park on October 1-3 and October 8-10, 2021 to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We encourage fans who have already purchased tickets to hold on to them to lock in access to next year’s festival at 2019 prices. Refunds will be made available for fans who purchased directly through the festival and cannot attend next year’s dates. All current ticket holders will receive an email from Front Gate Tickets shortly with information on both options.

ACL Fest has always been rooted in tradition, our common love of live music, and our community. This includes supporting Austin Parks Foundation for the past 15 years to improve parks and green spaces across the city. Take this time to maintain your personal health and wellness by visiting www dot austinparks dot org to learn how you can safely enjoy and support parks in our area, and please continue to follow the advice of local officials, look out for each other, and stay safe.

Jah Mason & Uzman’s “Night Life” Re-mastered! (@UZMAN1)

night lifeCanadian hip-hop artist Uzman has re-mastered “Night Life,” a club track he did with reggae singer Jah Mason some time ago.

When the song and video were first released, the original mix of “Night Life” received heavy radio rotation on some of the biggest stations in the Caribbean, North America and parts of Europe. Additionally, it entered the top ten position on several charts and even sat at number one (1) on the NYC reggae chart (Funk Master Flex’s Franchise Record Pool).

While we were all on lock-down – due to the corona virus pandemic – Uzman thought that it would be prudent to have the song re-mastered and ready for when countries all over the world remove their curfews and restrictions and we can all go back to enjoying the night life.

ABOUT UZMAN
Uzman have spent the last couple of years managing and investing in other artists (mostly based in Jamaica); he has decided to now switch the attention back to his career. As he makes some adjustments, he is reaffirming his commitment to always fuse his party-style rap music with Jamaica’s roots reggae in an effort to show his love for both genres.

In addition to collaborating with Jah MasonUzman has also worked with Junior Reid and he’s acquired production from Frenz 4 Real, Walkway 31 and Decibell Music Studios, all based in Jamaica.
