Slick Rick & Rakim To Headline Harlem Cultural Festival This Weekend

The 2021 Harlem Cultural Festival is to take place this Sunday, November 28th, at the world-famous Apollo Theater in New York. The free one day event will begin at 2pm in the afternoon and will end at 10pm.

The lineup includes headliners: Rakim and Slick Rick, as well as Count Basie Orchestra, Alyson Williams, Herbert Holler, Omar Edwards, Sonic Soul Force, C.A.M.P. and DJ J-Ronin.

The event organizer requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination and everyone will be asked to wear a mask at all times.

CL Smooth & Rah Digga Will Perform At New York’s Mercury Lounge On Nov. 24th

On Wednesday, November 24, DJ Toshi will be celebrating the 14th year anniversary of the Classic Storm Radio Show at Mercury Lounge (217 E Houston Street) in New York.

Two of hip-hop’s heavyweight: CL Smooth and Rah Digga will be performing live. Additional music will be provided by DJ Ready Cee, DJ Butta L, DJ Boogie Blind and of course DJ Toshi. Show time is 9pm (local) and only persons 21 and older will be allowed in.

Lupe Fiasco’s ‘Food & Liquor Tour’ Begins On Nov. 18 (@LupeFiasco)

Earlier in the year Lupe Fiasco announced that he would be heading out on the road before the end of 2021 for his Food & Liquor Tour. That time has come!

It has just been brought to our attention that the tour will officially begin on Thursday, November 18 at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle, Washington. The all ages event is to be the first of six confirmed shows that’s to take place in San Francisco, Reno, Cleveland, Brooklyn and of course Seattle.

Babyface, Goodie Mob & KEM Confirmed For The 2021 Turkey Day Classic Music Fest

Alabama State University has planned a fun-filled set of events for the 97th annual Turkey Day Classic. This year’s celebration will include everything from the Alumni Brunch to the exciting TDC Concert on November 24th.

The concert, which is to take place at the Dunn Oliver Acadome, will feature performances by Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds, Goodie Mob and KEM. Click here for tickets and remember that the big game between the ASU Hornets and Tuskegee goes down on November 25th at 2pm.

Spend A Night With Nas This November (@Nas)

On Saturday, November 20, hip-hop legend Nas is inviting all his fans in the Detroit area to join him at the Fox Theatre for a special concert. The event, dubbed A Night With Nas, will also feature guest artists Wale, EPMD and Royce 5’9.
