In April, rap giants Wu-Tang Clan and Nas announced that they will be going on tour together starting on August 30 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri. Produced by Live Nation, the 25-city tour – dubbed “NY State of Mind” – will make stops across North America in major cities like Atlanta, Toronto, Austin and more, before wrapping up in Los Angeles in October.

The day-long celebration of hip-hop music, lifestyle and culture, Rock The Bells Festival, will go down this weekend – Saturday, August 6th – at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. It will feature some of the most lyrical MCs in the rap game, each carefully selected because of their contribution to the genre.

In addition to the man behind the movement – LL Cool J – artists booked for Rock The Bells Fest 2022 includes Z-Trip, Ice Cube, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, The Diplomats ft. Cam’ron, Jim Jones & Juelz Santana, Fat Joe & Remy Ma, Jadakiss, Scarface performing 20th anniversary of The Fix, Trina, Digable Planets and Queen’s native artists N.O.R.E, Onyx, Havoc of Mobb Deep & Large Professor.

The man regarded as one of the most influential and skilled MCs of all time – Rakim – will commence his 2022 European tour on August 13. He will start with a couple of dates in the UK (Leicester and Brighton) before going over to Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.

The tour will eventually end where it begun, in the UK; this time around with three stops: London, Manchester and Bristol. It is being presented by Mind Blowing Productions.

In March 2020 while the world collectively paused, legendary artist, DJ, and photographer D-Nice launched Club Quarantine on Instagram Live. This revolutionary virtual club safely brought millions together to experience community amid global isolation. Now D-Nice is bringing the party to Carnegie Hall (in New York) on August 4th.

Following a sold-out performance at the Hollywood Bowl in August 2021, Club Quarantine Live continues with a very special guest lineup which includes Ashanti, Jadakiss, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Hezekiah Walker, DJ Clark Kent, CL Smooth, Igmar Thomas and the Revive Big Band. It will be hosted by Chris Spencer.

We Love Concerts presents I Love Hip-Hop Fest on Saturday, July 30th at the UIC Forum – 725 W. Roosevelt Road – in Chicago. The event will feature performances from a combination of veteran, in some cases legendary, and emerging MCs.

The lineup includes Project Pat, Twista, Shawnna, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Rakim and Crucial Conflict; These are some of the most respected rappers from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Tickets are available on ticketmaster.

British rapper and songwriter Nadia Rose, who is most known for her mega hit song Skwod (released many years ago), is back! The MC who hails from Croydon, just shared a new song and video, titled Recipe, and her fans and supporters are already calling it a banger.

Although she is sporting a new image, Rose‘s lyrical prowess has not changed; if anything it has gotten better. Recipe is now available on all digital music platforms and the video can be viewed on YouTube.

While in Oregon at the end of the month, The Roots will perform at the public space commonly referred to as Portland’s living room. Pioneer Courthouse Square, which is located at 701 SW 6th Avenue in Portland, will see the hip-hop band hitting the stage on July 30 at approximately 6pm local time. The men will be joined by DJ Deena Bee.
