On September 13th, 14th and 15th Indaba X will be hosting an event dubbed Southbank Centre’s Africa Utopia Festival, dedicated to celebrating and showcasing Black culture. It will feature cultural leaders, trailblazers and innovators engaged in panel discussions, workshops, music, comedy and more.

The musical segment, scheduled for Friday the 13th, will see hip-hop artist Talib Kweli and others hitting the stage between 19:00 and 23:00 at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, London.

Coolio will perform his multi-platinum album “Gangsta’s Paradise,” in its entirety from start to finish, at the Patio Theater (6008 W Irving Park Rd) in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, September 28th. For his performance Coolio will be accompanied by a full band as well as one of the largest movie screens in Chicago as the backdrop.

With hits such as “Gangsta Paradise,” “Too Hot,” “1,2,3,4 (Sumpin’ New)” and many more all on the same album, Coolio took the world by storm as both a musician and actor in the acclaimed Dangerous Minds movie, which was released 1995. On Friday, October 25th, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of what is arguably one of his biggest record to date, “Black on Both Sides.” The artist will be having a major concert at the Greek Theatre-U.C., located at 2001 Gayley Road in Berkeley, CA.

In addition to a live performance from Yasiin Bey, who will be doing all the songs from the album, there will also be performances from other iconic artists, namely: Erykah Badu, Slick Rick, Souls Of Mischief and DJ Big Von.

EVE is the third studio album by American rapper Rapsody. It was officially released on August 23rd, 2019 on the Jamla Records label, under exclusive license to Roc Nation. Each song is named after an influential black woman, such as: Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sojourner Truth, Nina Simone etc.

Hip-Hop and R&B lovers in California are in for a treat! On Friday, August 30th, mega stars Nelly, TLC and Flo Rida will all be performing at the Shoreline Amphitheatre – located at 1 Amphitheatre Parkway – in Mountain View, California.
