Emerging Gospel Artist Crystal Reid To Release Collaboration With DJ Nicholas (@ChrissyCrystal @djnicholas2)

crystal nicholasIn September, Crystal Reid, who had released her album earlier in the year, reached out to popular gospel-dancehall artist DJ Nicholas, initially with the intent to feature him on the remix version of her track ‘God is my Friend’. She then changed her mind and decided that it would be best to create something from scratch, hence the forthcoming single “Power.” As the song is currently being mixed and mastered, Reid hopes to have it ready for the road in approximately two weeks.

When asked why she wanted to work with Nicholas, Crystal‘s response was the following: “DJ Nicholas brings a type of flavor to the gospel industry that is unique and different and that’s what I love about his ministry. I noticed that a lot of the younger generation can relate to his way of proclaiming the gospel and I know I wanted some of his contribution towards my 2nd album.”

Crystal Reid had a breakout year in 2019 after sharing her inspirational project “Thank You Lord.” Based on the success of the record she was able to grace the stage of the Black History Jubilee Concert in Edmonton, Alberta; she also performed on Montego Bay’s Jerk Festival in Jamaica, as well as on several shows in Toronto, Ontario.

Here is what Crystal Reid had to say about the year 2020: “For the year 2020, it’s a year double: double within the ministry, double for every trouble, double blessings, double anointing. And I would be fool to think that I won’t get double trials and testing’s…lol but I know the Lord is already with me to fight any battles the enemy might throw at me. My new year resolution is that the Lord will continue to have his will and lead me wherever he wants me to go across the world. I AM READY TO WORK for the Kingdom.”
