Gospel Legend Rance Allen Dies At Age 71

It is being reported that legendary gospel singer, Bishop Rance Allen, has passed away. Allen who is known for the hit song “Something About the Name Jesus” was also a member of The Rance Allen Group, a musical ensemble which includes his brothers Tom and Steve.

According to the report, he died at approximately 3:00 AM on the morning of October 31st at Heartland ProMedica – short term rehabilitation and skilled nursing center – in Sylvania, Ohio.

Last year Jekalyn Carr performed at the Cellairis Amphitheatre – located at Lakewood in Atlanta, Georgia – to a crowd of approximately 12,000. The event was recorded and is now being presented in the form of a thirteen-track album titled “Changing Your Story.”

On Sunday, October 25th, Dr. Phill Entertainment – a holistic event management and production company – will host a virtual reggae concert, called ‘Above Religiosity.’ Some of the confirmed performers includes: Marsha J, Demario Henry, Prince Hall, Unity Singers, Live Wyya Band and Rhoda Isabella.

The 2020 Dove Awards Will Broadcast On TBN On Oct. 30th

The 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards presentation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 20th, at the Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony will recognize the accomplishments of musicians and other figures within the Christian music industry for the year 2020.

The full show will broadcast on TBN – Trinity Broadcasting Network – on Friday, October 30th at 8PM / 7PM CST. Some of the confirmed performers include: Travis Greene, Switch, The Sound and others.
