Alaine Releases New Reggae-Gospel “Carry On” (@Alainesinga)

On February 12th, DJ Frass Records – a secular reggae and dancehall record label out of Jamaica – released a rhythm driven reggae compilation dubbed “Six Miles Riddim.” The project, which is clearly non-religious, featured one very prominent Christian artist; Alaine.

Alaine Laughton, who is publicly known by her first name, is a Jamaican-American reggae singer and songwriter. She was born in New Jersey. In early 2019, Alaine got baptized and has been doing gospel music ever since.

Her latest release, “Carry On,” is featured on the aforementioned project. The very inspirational record is both soothing and encouraging.

Lecrae Featured On Hulvey’s New Single “Reasons” (@lecrae)

Reach Records’ artist Hulvey has just shared a timely new single titled “Reasons.” The song, which features singer/songwriter SVRCINA and Christian rapper Lecrae, reminds us of the many reasons we should not give up regardless how difficult life gets.

Samuel Medas Delivers Another Catchy Soca Tune “Stadium” (@SamuelMedas)

In mid January Maria Jackson Magazine published an article about a catchy soca-gospel track called “Overflow,” performed by Guyanese recording artist Samuel Medas. In that story we said that the song was so good that we can see it being played at all the biggest soca fetes and road marches around the world.

Regarding Samuel‘s newest release, “Stadium,” we’re now saying that it is guaranteed to cross over into secular playlists. The brand new soca song, which shows a more energetic side of the gospel singer, is all about our collective desire to get back to our lives the way they were prior to the pandemic.
