Dawn Martin, Rhoda Isabella, Perpetual Praise & Others To Perform At “Grand Vision” Benefit Concert In November

Several of Jamaica’s top-tier gospel artists are coming together to support Granville Benjamin, a popular sound engineer who requires extensive eye surgery. The event, which is to take place at Eastwood Park New Testament Church – 51 Eastwood Park Road – in Kingston, Jamaica, on Friday, November 4th, is appropriately called Grand Vision.

There will be performances by Kevin Downswell, Rhoda Isabella, Petra-Kaye, Jai Kingston, Dawn Martin, Dean Smith, Nickette Williams, Perpetual Praise, Anya-Jean Phillips and Jaycynth Brown. Master of ceremony is radio host Nadine Blair. Click here to buy tickets or to make a donation.

Bryann T’s New Album “All Things Kingdom” Is Out Now! (@Kingdomuzic)

Bryann Trejo (Bryann T), the man behind Kingdom Muzic, has just released his new album: All Things Kingdom. The hip-hop gospel record, which went live on streaming platforms at midnight (October 30), immediately shot to #1 on iTunes’ Top Christian and Gospel Albums chart.

All Things Kingdom has twenty-one tracks and features collaborations with Antwoine Hill, Monica Hill Trejo, Brandon Trejo, KG Santiago, Kurtis Hoppie, Lucky Luciano, Da Young Disciples, Jaeda Hill, Young Bro, Drew Ava and Reconcile. The visuals for Worth It, track #1, was also shared.

Tye Tribbett & Marvin Sapp Will Perform In Chicago On Nov. 11

Two Stix Productions will present The Gospel Takeover concert on Friday, November 11, from 7:30 to 10:30pm. It will feature performances by Tye Tribbett and Marvin A Sapp, with special guests DãVizion and Lashon Brown Jr.

Location is Greenwood Oasis on the campus of New Life Covenant Church – 7621 South Greenwood Avenue – in Chicago, Illinois. Tickets, which start at $45, are available on eventbrite.

KimAlex’s Bio

Kimbilee hails from the community of Blue Mountain, situated in the central part of Manchester. Born to parents Scealon Bent and Veronica Johnson, Kim is the youngest of two siblings. Her talent was recognized from the tender age of six years old at the BlueMountain Seventh Day Baptist Church. She performed with the Redeemed Messengers youth group during her teenage years.

While attending the Bellefield High School, her talent was further recognized by teachersand student population. She performed with the school choir as their lead singer at school related events and devotions. Everyone was always delighted to hear her melodious and medium high range voice.

Kimbilee loves the Lord and is fully aware that her voice is a God given talent and is very enthusiastic in using her vocals to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in different music forms. She possesses great songwriting and arrangement skills although she doesn’t play a musical instrument.

In the year 1999 Kimbilee met Gifton Smith a Producer songwriter, musician, member of the Humming Bird singing group during a performance at a talent competion of which she was awarded first place. Gifton later introduced a member of his bacground vocalist to Kim, they started singing together as a duet called “Pinkey & Kim” “His Name Is Jesus” was recorded by Gifton Smithand Courick Clarke (Koriq).

The duet sang background vocals for various gospel artists, which includes:

  • Claude Edwards
  • Marvia Providence
  • Winsome Benjamin
  • Jabez

In 2001 the first album for the duet entitled “Take Back The Love” was recorded and released by Gifton Smith.

In 2006 a decision was made by both “Pinkey & Kim” to pursue solo careers. In 2007 the album “Kimbilee’s Expression” was recorded and Produced by Gifton Smith and Alex Martin-Blanken one of the top renowned muscician in Jamaica. The album represents a wide cross section of music forms which gives the album an international appeal. The album also featured the duet “Broken & Contrite Heart” which featured Jabez.

Kimbilee has also shared stage overseas with world renowned gospel artist Shirley Caesar. Currently Kimbilee still ministers at various events and is in the process of composing and arranging songs for her second album. All musical arrangement and instrumentation plus production is done by her husband Neville Alexander (a local renowned guitarist), Alex Marti-Blanken and Courick Clarke (Koriq) a “musical genius”.

A decision was made by her management team to change her performance name to “KimAlex” in April 2014. She aims to gain more international experience and recognition to share stagees with the likes of Mary Mary, Tamela Mann and other renowned international gospel artists.

Limoblaze Drops New EP “Sunday In Lagos” (@Limoblaze)

African hip-hop artist Limoblaze, in partnership with Reach Records, has just released a new EP titled Sunday In Lagos. The seven-track gospel project features collaborations with Emandiong, Banky W, 1K Phew, Ada Ehi, Dena Mwana, Lecrae and Happi.

All songs are done on afro-beats with the exception of track #4 – I Believe, done with 1K Phew – and track #7 – Jireh (My Provider), done with Lecrae and Happi. Sunday In Lagos went live on all streaming platforms earlier today: Friday, October 28.

Ricky Dillard Performs In Aurora, CO On November 11

Chart-topping recording artist Ricky Dillard will headline the upcoming Gospel Concert being presented at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church – 1500 South Dayton Street – in Aurora, Colorado on November 11th. Dillard will be joined by Tarell Martin and The C2 Mass Choir.
