Lubert Levy Confirmed For Jamaica’s Gospel Cultural Concert

On Friday, August 2nd, the Temple Hall Mennonite Church (Jamaica) will present the Gospel Cultural Concert at their location. It will feature a special performance by Minister Lubert Levy, the man behind the hit song “Roll Jordan.”

The Gospel Cultural Concert will start at 6:00 p.m. local time, and there is a J$500 entrance fee that will go, in part, to aid the church’s 2024 youth camp.

Minister Blessed EP Launch

Minister Blessed, a native of Portmore, Saint Catherine, will be having his EP launch on Saturday, July 27 at the Swallowfield Chapel in Kingston, Jamaica. This event is extra special because it also marks his return to the local scene after having spent the last few years in the UK.

Minister Blessed will be joined by Johnmark Wiggan, Sean Lypher, Prince Saj, Jodian Pantry, Garfield Reid, Sirnan Biblical, Charmian-Marie, Lucas Musiq, and a surprise guest artist. Dexter Johnson Jr. and Anya-Jean Phillips will host, with music by DJ Marc. Click here to buy tickets.

Artist To Watch: Prince Saj

Jamaican gospel-dancehall artist Prince Saj, who was the first runner-up in the inaugural Magnum Top Performa competition, is an artist everyone should pay attention to, regardless if they’re into gospel music or not.

Raised between St Catherine and St Thomas, Prince Saj, whose given name is Saja Smith, started working on his craft by writing songs and singing them to his peers while he was still in high school. Now in his early twenties, he cites God as the sculptor of his addictive hardcore style.

Prince Saj is currently literally one of the fastest rising artists in Jamaica gospel.

In addition to the honorees, the program will also feature live performances by Deante Duckett & The Justified Crew, Joe Douglass & Spirit of Praise, Josh Bracy & Power Anointed, and B. Chase Williams & Shabach. Starting time is 7:30 p.m., and there will be a US$40 entrance fee on the day of the show.
