Bro Gary will present his Gospel Birthday Celebration on Sunday, August 25th, at New Hope Family Worship Center (817 Livonia Avenue) in Brooklyn, New York. This is a four-hour event that will run from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. EDT.

As a popular radio personality and public figure, Brother Gary will bring together a diverse group of performers. Confirmed are inspirational reggae artist Gramps Morgan, gospel acts Jonathan Nelson, Kevin Downswell, and Prodigal Son, comedians Pretty Boy Floyd and Fancy Cat, and selectors Billy Slaughter and Glamour Wayne. Mississippi’s Hallelujah FM radio is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and they are marking the occasion with a major concert on Saturday, August 17th.

A Call To Worship Revival

Nigerian gospel star Peterson Okopi will be in Ontario, Canada, for the forthcoming A Call to Worship Revival. It is to take place on Saturday, August 17th, at 105-107 Kenhar Drive in Toronto. The running time is 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Her journey culminated in the attainment of a degree in Jazz and Popular Music Studies from the esteemed Edna Manley College.

Candy‘s accolades speak volumes about her unparalleled musical prowess and perseverance. With an impressive collection of 65 medals, including an astounding 30 gold, 5 silver, and 30 trophies, garnered from her stunning performances as both a JCDC Festival Competition performer and composer, Candy has consistently defied expectations. Notably, she clinched Second Place in the JCDC’s Gospel Song competition in 2009, and in 2021, she emerged as a finalist in the prestigious Festival Song competition.

Beyond her remarkable achievements in music, Candy is a beacon of inspiration as an educator. Sharing her expertise as a teacher at Wolmer’s Girls and various primary schools, she imparts not only musical knowledge but also invaluable life lessons to her students.

In recognition of her profound impact on the world of music and education, on April 27, 2024, Kimiela was bestowed with an honorary doctoral degree in sacred music from the renowned One We International Theological Seminary (OWITS). Her life’s mantra, “It’s not the Candy thatlives, but the Christ that lives in Candy,” encapsulates her strong faith and resilience, serving as a guiding light for all who aspire to overcome obstacles and realize their dreams.

Jekalyn Carr Will Be In Jamaica For ‘The Redemption’

The Joycelyn Lewis Foundation, in association with Dr. L. Morales, presents The Redemption, an inspirational and uplifting gospel concert scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2024, at Jam World in Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica.

American gospel singer-songwriter Jekalyn Carr, who is also a five-time Grammy nominee, will headline the show. Other confirmed performers are Sister Patt, Rian Davis, Minister Howdy, Johnmark Wiggan, and Joan Brown, and that is just to name a few.

Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., and showtime is one hour later, at 6:00 p.m. Admission at the gate is J$5,500.
