Kevin Downswell & Romain Virgo Share Visuals For “Carry Me – Reggae Remix” (@kevinDownswell @RealRomainVirgo)

Yesterday, January 3rd, Kevin Downswell shared the visuals for the reggae remix of “Carry Me,” which is done with Romain Virgo. Though the video is very basic – just the men singing in the studio – I was completely drawn in by their energy. These are two singers that always give a hundred percent when performing, whether in the booth or on stage.

Crystal Reid Collaborates With Jai Kingston On 2nd Single From Her Upcoming Album (@ChrissyCrystal @Jaikingston)

Gospel recording artist and performer, Crystal Reid, just shared another single from her upcoming album, “Power.” The new song, which is a collaboration done with Jai Kingston, is titled “Fight My Battles For Me Lord.”

Like much of her other songs, this one is also inspired by real life events. According to Reid, she penned her part at the beginning of the year after being attacked in both her professional and personal life. Once she realized that she was indeed in the midst of a spiritual warfare, she turned the battle over to God, hence the name “Fight My Battles For Me Lord.

The track was produced by Worship5eer Production, owned by Minister Solomon Bill, who is from Zimbabwe. Bill played all the instruments on the track, while the mixing and mastering was done by Enoch Attey of the Table 12 Group production team. Crystal Reid recorded her vocals at the Worship5eer Studios in Edmonton, Canada and Jai Kingston did his at Image Records in Kingston, Jamaica.

When asked what she would like people to take away from the song, Reid said the following:
“This song encourages us that when we are faced with any situation that seems difficult or hard to handle, just call on the Lord to fight the battle for us. So instead of cursing, getting upset, or even falling along the way, we have to stand on the assurance that God is a present help in the time of trouble and all he requires for us to do is call on him. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge and strength. I called on him and yes he came through for me and i promise you that he will do the same for many others.”
