Tye Tribbett Performs At AAMU’s Homecoming This Sunday (@TyeTribbett)

Alabama A&M University’s homecoming week kicked off on Saturday, September 24, and will run until October 1st. It will feature a clash between the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs and Bethune Cookman Wildcats; with a number of events and activities all week long.

On the schedule – for this Sunday, September 25th – is Gospel Explosion with Tye Tribbett. It will be held at Elmore Gym – 4900 Meridian St. N. – starting at 5pm.

Petra Kaye Headlines “Rebirth” On Oct. 1st

There will be a Rebirth in Dela Vaga City, Spanish Town on Saturday, October 1st at the New Life Community Church International. Petra Kaye, Dwight Fearri, Darrion Kelly and a host of other gospel ministers will be performing.

Starting time is 6:30pm, and there is $1,000 JMD entrance fee for adults; while children under twelve will only pay $300.

JeKalyn Carr, Donnie McClurkin & Kelontae Gavin Will Support Vashawn Mitchell’s Live Recording On Oct. 31st

Singer-songwriter Vashawn Mitchell will be doing a live recording concert at the end of October (on the 31st) at Sound Board, MotorCity Casino Hotel – 2901 Grand River Avenue – in Detroit, Michigan.

He will be supported by fellow artists JeKalyn Carr, Donnie McClurkin and Kelontae Gavin; all of whom will be performing live. Tickets, which start at $22.50 USD, are available via ticketmaster.

John P. Kee, Kierra Sheard-Kelly & Others On The Lineup For The Pre-Homecoming Pop-Up At VUU

The Hezekiah Walker Center for Gospel Music at Virginia Union University will present the Pre-Homecoming Pop-Up Gospel Concert on September 30, at Liberation Church – 5501 Midlothian Turnpike – in Richmond, Virginia.

The lineup includes John P. Kee, Lena Byrd-Miles, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, James Fortune and of course Hezekiah Walker. General admission is $40 USD; however, VUU students – with a valid VUU ID – will only pay $25. Get additional information and tickets here.

Marsha Wade Is Back!

After taking a four/five-year hiatus from recording her soetry, pastor, author, soet and songwriter Marsha Wade is back! The Jamaica based soet will be releasing her first recorded rhymes, titled God Can Gwaan Eeh – done on a Caribbean fused rhythm – in early October.

Although she has been busy in other areas: creating and releasing a children’s book (Patois Tales: The Adventures of Tashie-Mo), making pubic appearances at schools and government functions, preaching etc. Wade says she is committed to doing her soems as it is an important part of her ministry.

The Annual I Hear Music in the Air Conference is in its 21st year. This year’s concert theme is “A Night of Healing” and it will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at the Duke Energy Convention Center (525 Elm St. Cincinnati OH 45202).

The evening aims to connect us all under the umbrella of music; performed by Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Ricky Dillard, E. Dewey Smith, William Murphy III and more. The objective is to address the issues that directly impact the community; specifically homelessness, poverty and food insecurity.

H.O.P.T Announces The Complete Lineup For The “Let Judah Roar” Concert On Oct. 1st

House of Praise Tabernacle has announced the full lineup for their fund raising event – Let Judah Roar – scheduled for October 1st on the church grounds: 800 Arrow Road, Unit 4 in Toronto, Ontario.

Attendees will experience the music ministry of Michael Stuckey, who is returning to Canada for the first time after four years. He will be joined by Kentrill Ragin, Damola Oridate and Jennifer Lewin.
