Jim Kelly Releases Official Video For His Popular Single ‘Nuh Trust Nobody’ (@jimkelly_real)

Jim Kelly Bastic VideoThree days ago, Jim Kelly, the CEO of Real Linx Records, and a producer in his own right, released the official video for his single ‘nuh trust nobody,’ featuring Bastic. The release of the video is very timely because the song is currently on heavy rotation in major street dances across Jamaica.

The video, which was directed by Essron Woolcock from Ezzi Visuals, features some choreographed dance scenes in front of Port Royals’ beautiful blue sea. Those were contrasted by some more aggressive images of persons reciting the song’s hook, ‘mi nuh trust nobody.’ The latter was shot in and around the Dunkirk community in Kingston, with the entire shoot taking only one day.

As he continues to promote both the song and the video, Jim Kelly is making himself available for interviews, features, appearances etc. Anyone wanting to work with him in any capacity may do so by contacting Maria Jackson Entertainment at mariajacksonent@gmail.com

Red Rat Releases New Music Aimed At Mr. Vegas (@RedRatLife @MrVegasMusic)

00redratwordpressAfter releasing a video explaining his side of the now public feud with Mr. Vegas, Red Rat has released a track entitled ‘pray for bad mind.’ And although Mr. Vegas name was not mentioned at all on the record, it is obvious that the conflict between the two men is what inspired the song.

On a more positive note, fans of Red Rat should be happy that he is engaged in what we hope is an intense musical war, because that would mean lots of new music from the double R leader. ‘Pray for bad mind’ shows that Red Rat is still very lyrical. Check out the track here, and remember to share.

Super Cat has been added to this year’s second annual Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise (@wtjrc)

00-supercat00Jamaican dancehall icon Super Cat, known for hits like “Don Dada”, “Ghetto Red Hot” and “Dem No Worry We” with Heavy D, has been added to this year’s second annual Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise.

The music legend, who rose to stardom in the late 1980s and early 1990s, was one of the first dancehall artists to crossover in hip hop and pop music collaborating with Kris Kross, Notorious B.I.G., Neptunes and Sugar Ray. His music still permeates the airwaves and clubs today and has been sampled by likes of Sean Paul and NAS. Super Cat is very selective of his recent performances, making them all special in their own right. Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise 2015 is a rare opportunity to see the artist ignite the stage for a one-of-a-kind, intimate experience.

He will join thel cruise’s star-studded artist line up also featuring Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Julian “Juju Royal” Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, Sly & Robbie, Mykal Rose, Maxi Priest, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Jah Cure, Tarrus Riley, Busy Signal, Elephant Man, Barrington Levy, Third World, Morgan Heritage, Cham, Tanya Stephens, T.O.K, Protoje, Popcaan and Christopher Ellis.

The state-of-the-art Norwegian Pearl ship will set sail twice this year. The second ship leaves Miami, Florida on December 5, 2015 with stops in Falmouth and Ocho Rios, Jamaica before its return on December 10, 2015.

It’s Elephant Man’s time again (@eledienergygod)

00-elephant-man-mjmagWord on the streets is that it’s Elephant Man’s time again, and the flamboyant dancehall deejay is crediting the Almighty with placing him in the right place at the right time to voice what is being touted as his next mega single. The song, Dance ‘N’ Move, was recorded at Kings of Kings studio a few weeks ago, the same studio where producer Skatta recorded Elephant Man’s huge hit, Sweep, in 2009.

From the moment Elephant Man drove into the studio and heard the bouncy Double Up riddim, the acknowledged Energy God was spiraled into motion. From 9pm until 4am the following morning he worked on the song, leaving the studio with a sense of accomplishment. Naturally, there was no other name for this Kings of Kings single which highlights three of the current dancehall dance moves and their creators, but Dance ‘N’ Move. Early predictions are that the entire dancehall community will soon be vibrating with this Elephant Man dance track.

According to co-producer Damian ‘Tef’ Forbes, Elephant Man knew exactly what he wanted and how he wanted this song to play out. Jiggy Ras was at the studio doing the moves while Elephant Man worked on the lyrics. It was creativity at its best.

Dance ‘N’ Move is already endorsed by two of dancehall’s leading selectors – Foota Hype, who was in the studio for part of the recording session and Boom Boom. Plans are in the pipeline to shoot the accompanying music video which will showcase the creativity of the dancers who play such an integral role in dancehall music.
