New York based Young, Gifted & Black (YGB) Entrepreneurial Awards have selected Rodney Price aka Bounty Killer as a nominee for the 2019 YGB Reggae Music Entertainment ICON Award.
The annual award function, which takes place during Black History Month each year has, over the past 14 years, honored “Unsung Heroes & Heroines” within the Diaspora community. The dinner and reception will take place on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 in New York City.
Sean Paul
KAABOO, which is held at Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman on February 15th and 16th, was created by music lovers for music lovers. The event features performing artists from various genres: pop, R&B, rock, reggae and dancehall. Sean Paul, Shaggy and Romain Virgo are all confirmed for the event.
In addition to the live entertainment, there will also be comedy, gourmet cuisine, craft
libations and many more attractions.
Bounty Killer & Wayne Marshall
Eastern Entertainment Promotions presents the 6th annual Eastern Extravaganza on new year’s day at Mountain View Oval (across from Excelsior High School) in Kingston.
The artist lineup includes: Bounty Killer, Capleton, Agent Sasco, Wayne Marshall, Bugle, George Nooks, Richie Stephens, Turbulence, Dre Island, Natty King and that is just to name a few. All artists will be supported by the Ruff Kut Band. In addition to the live performances, some of the most respected sound systems and selectors will also be on hand, namely: Stone Love, Supa Hype, DJ Mental and many more.
This event is free to the public.
Though the single was originally released a few years ago, Babylon by JB is a powerful track that addresses several social issues. That being said, the artist and his team has just released the official video, which was directed and shot by both Ancil Shaf and Clifton Harris for Ville Ventures Films.

Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin have announced that Beenie Man, the king of the dancehall, will be joining them at the Rebellion Band Launch on Saturday, December 8th at Park Close, Kingston 5 (next to Emancipation Park) in Jamaica.

Half Pint
Chalice King Promotion presents a day and night event called Christmas Xplosion on Tuesday, December 25th at the Newstead Primary School (in Cascade District, St. Mary, Jamaica). There are a slew of top-tier artists and selectors that have been confirmed for this affair, namely: Half Pint, Capleton, Ghost, Lisa Hyper, DJ Talia (from Irie FM), Foota Hype and many more.
In addition to the live entertainment, there will also be football competitions, domino tournament, bounce-a-bout, trampoline etc.
Bugle’s uptempo single, “World Party,” which was released a couple months ago now has some visuals. The official video was shared on his YouTube channel on Nov. 14th and it’s been getting nothing but great reviews.
Featuring popular disc jock Razz (formerly of the duo Razz & Biggy), the Lion Eye Records produced single has been making steady in-rows on both the local and international scene, enjoying spins on several platforms across the Caribbean, Israel, Japan, the United Kingdom, parts of Europe and the U.S.
