The World Creole Music Festival will take place in Roseau, Dominica, from Friday, October 25th through the 27th. This unique festival, which features performances from different Caribbean genres, is more than twenty years old.
This year will see soca, afro-beat, roots, dub, reggae, Caribbean-pop, calypso and dancehall artists represented. Jamaican entertainers that have been confirmed for the event are: Buju Banton, Etana and Romain Virgo.
With back to back hit songs like “Nah Mad” and “Fiery,” dancehall artist Munga Honorable is having a successful 2019. Since the chart topping hit “Nah Mad” took over in January he has done a Caribbean tour, performing in the Bahamas, Barbados, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Guyana and Grenada. The artist and his team are now getting ready to release his much anticipated EP, which they’re calling Fiery.
The project will feature seven tracks, namely:
“Amazing,” “Hardwork,” “Kingpin,” “Fiery,” “Survive” (Radio & Raw) and “Nah Mad.” This record is a collaborative effort between Munga’s own label, Hilltop Records, as well as Gran One Muzik and Luigi Portmore Society. It will be distributed by VPAL Music.
Arguably one of the biggest events held in the Parish of St. Mary, Capleton‘s stage show, dubbed ‘A St. Mary Mi Come From,’ will return to the Parish after the artist held it in Kingston last year. That being said, the event will be held at the Grays Inn Sports Complex in St. Mary, Jamaica on November 9th, 2019.
Capleton, as well as a slew of top-tier reggae and dancehall artists will be performing. Full lineup will be announced shortly.
In 2015, Una Morgan, a member of the reggae band Morgan Heritage, fell ill and had to remove herself from the limelight in order to focus on both her physical and mental health. She had been suffering from a pre-existing thyroid disease and was admitted in the hospital as her organs shut down and went into cardiac arrest. The silent killer caused congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, which is an abnormal heart rhythm.
Today the artist’s publicist announced that she is back! Una Morgan is now healthy, happy and ready to get back to the music. That being said, she just released the first single, Evolution, from her upcoming solo album.
Appleton Estate is celebrating National Rum Day with a massive show in Tollgate, Clarendon tonight, August 16th. The organizers have invited two reggae heavy weights; Maxi Priest and Wayne Marshall, to entertain their supporters. Additionally, they have announced that admission is absolutely free for everyone.
This event will kick off at 9 PM sharp, and it goes without saying that everyone should drink responsibly.
The 2019 Dallas Reggae Festival will be held at Longhorn Ballroom Grounds, which is located at 216 Corinth Street in Dallas, Texas. It’s a two-day event that kicks off on August 31st and ends on September 1st; running from 2 to 10 PM on both days.
This year’s performers include: Busy Signal, Culture, Kenyatta Hill, Etana, Everton Blender and others. The organizers would like the public to know that this is a family event so all are invited.
Dancehall King Yellowman, along with The Sagittarius Band, will be returning to Liverpool on August 31st. He will be performing at 24 Kitchen Street in Liverpool (UK) from 7 PM until… This is an 18 and older event.
