Is Admiral Bailey Making A Comeback?

I just heard a tuff new single from veteran dancehall deejay Admiral Bailey. The song is produced by Sipo Records and it’s called “Di Style.” Apparently it was released in November but it is just now getting some real traction with increase airplay.

Before realizing that it’s Admiral Bailey, I was simply listening the track – a hardcore dancehall, one-drop record – and then it dawned on me to find out who is the artist. Imagine my surprise when I learn that it’s none other than the Admiral!

As far as lyrics goes, he is still all about the ladies and yes, it is PG rated. But as it relates to style and flow, Admiral Bailey is sounding real good; he can stand next to any of these young guys currently trending.

“Stand With The Protesters Remix” Video Coming in 2021! (@EgDaGovenaw)

Several weeks ago, in the height of the protests against police brutality and racial inequality, four artists got together and made it clear that they are standing with the people who are speaking out against these injustices.

New York based dancehall and soca artist E.G., who had previously released a single titled “Stand With The Protesters,” invited Ras Xtr3me, Mr. AMG and J Shadda to join him on the remix. Coincidentally, the revised version became more widely accepted than the original. This resulted in the men creating some visuals for the project.

Within the last few weeks, director King Neptune came up with a concept that would allow all the men – despite being in different cities, and in some cases countries – to play a part in telling the story about police abusing their power and stereo typing young black men. The video, which was predominantly captured at Bushwick Studio in Brooklyn, New York, was shot and is being edited by Mavrick’s Mansion Studios.

The official release date is not yet known but it is expected to be released in January, 2021. E.G., the man behind the project said the following about the video: “It was fun and exciting to pull off this shoot and a big shout out to everyone who helped us put this together.”

Bugle Shares Feel-Good Video For “Life Still Well” (@BugleAn9ted)

A few days ago Bugle shared the official video for his single, “Life Still Well,” which is on the Natural Bond Entertainment label. Much like the song itself, the visual gives off a bright, positive, up-beat energy that makes you want to keep listening and watching.

After viewing it a couple of times I think the feel-good vibe comes directly from Bugle, who genuinely seems very happy in this clip. Click here to check it out and remember to like, comment and share.

New Dancehall Video: Kiprich – Doh Size Up (@direalkiprich)

I have always felt that Kiprich is underrated as a lyricist. Though this song – “Doh Size Up” – does not particularly display his lyrical prowess, it does give a little insight into this man’s musical talent.
