Dancehall Artist Mackamilli Drops New Video Celebrating Jamaica (@Mackamilli)

Mackamilli, a former member of the popular 90’s dancehall group Innocent Kru, has been aggressively focusing on his solo career in recent months. In addition to working behind the scenes as a video director and label owner, Macka has also been busy creating and releasing new music. His latest is a family friendly dancehall tune called Welcome To Jamaica. He shared it on August 6th, the island’s 59th Independence Day.

In Welcome to Jamaica Mackamilli laments about the nation’s music, food, culture and lifestyle; all while bragging about it’s athletes and their accomplishments. It is worth noting that on that very morning the Jamaican women’s 4×100-meter relay team took home the gold medal at the Olympics.

On the same day that he published the song Macka also uploaded the official video to his channel. And as he himself is a well respected videographer, he made sure to create some visuals that capture both the mood and vibe of the record.

Dancehall Artist Lion Face I-Talawah Voices On The “Restart Riddim” (@Blakkwuman22)

In a few weeks Blakkwuman22 Music, the record label owned and operated by dancehall artist Karamanti, will release the Restart Riddim. This is a hardcore dancehall juggling that will feature new music from various artists. Among those that will be on the project is popular Jackson Town deejay Lion Face I-Talawah.

Lion‘s new song will be a follow up to his now trending single, Survivor, which was shared earlier in the year on the Mountain Top Riddim (Haile Cush Records). Although that compilation featured mega stars like Jah Mason and Fantan Mojah, it was Lion Face‘s Survivor that captured the attention of the masses.

In an effort to maintain the momentum, two days ago Lion Face joined Karamanti in the studio and recorded a powerful song titled Truth. On the record, the hardcore lyricist touched on everything from the lowest form of poverty to the highest form of corruption; all while highlighting his Rastafarian faith.

As the Restart Riddim is still in the production phase, persons are encouraged to download Survivor via the link below, while we await Lion Face I-Talawah‘s new song, Truth.
