Kenyatta Hill Joins the Kumingoli Island Bash Lineup

Sound System Club and Sound Addicts Live have teamed up to launch the Kumingoli Island Bash, a five-day music and culture festival set for August 4th–8th, 2026, in Cape Maclear, Malawi. The event promises a mix of reggae, island life, and adventure, drawing fans from across the region and beyond.

Among the first artists confirmed is Andrew Tosh, who will take the stage on August 7th. Now, organizers have announced another major addition: Kenyatta Hill, son of the late Joseph Hill, the iconic frontman of the Jamaican vocal trio CultureJoseph Hill passed away while on tour in 2006, but Kenyatta has carried on his father’s musical legacy ever since, blending roots reggae with touches of dancehall energy.

Performing as Culturefeaturing Kenyatta Hill, the artist continues to share the wisdom and conscious spirit of his father’s music while infusing it with his own modern flair. His performance is set for Saturday, August 8th.

Beyond the music, the Kumingoli Island Bash will offer a full resort-style experience, including a casino and a wide range of activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, sailing, hiking, bird watching, windsurfing, and paddle boarding. Various ticket tiers will be available for attendees, catering to every kind of festivalgoer—from casual listeners to die-hard reggae fans.
