Mykal Rose has been in the spotlight as a solo act since 1989 when he signed with RCA and released the pop-influenced album Proud. That project was followed by several successful records done with Sly and Robbie, Heartbeat Records, and other independent imprints.

As such, he is considered a living legend in the reggae industry and his shows are always welcomed by his massive fan base. That said, their is currently a buzz in Santa Cruz, California, because Moe’s Alley has added Rose to their February lineup.
