Celebrating the Lives and Legacies of Denroy and Peetah Morgan

Family, friends, and supporters of reggae music and culture are being invited to gather at “A Celebration of Life,” honoring the late Ras Denroy Morgan Sr. and Peetah Morgan. The event is being presented by the Morgan Family in association with The Morganatty Group LLC.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 4 PM to 10 PM, the celebration will take place at 3540 Hwy 78, Suite 401 in Loganville, Georgia. Organizers are encouraging loved ones and supporters to come together to honor the lives and legacies of the two influential figures whose contributions to reggae continue to resonate globally.

The evening will feature special guests, live performances, drumming, music, food, drinks, and cultural activities designed to celebrate the spirit and impact of both men. Food will also be available for purchase from Jou Jous Food Truck.

Sherwin Gardner Returns to Trinidad & Tobago for “Souled Out: The Legacy”

Award-winning gospel singer Sherwin Gardner is preparing to make a return to Trinidad and Tobago this June for “Souled Out: The Legacy,” a two-night gospel experience presented by GFest and ISAAC 98.1 FM.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 6 at the Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort in Tobago, before moving to the NAPA Auditorium in Trinidad on Sunday, June 7. Gardner will perform alongside his full band and is expected to deliver several of his well-known hits, including “Find Me Here.”

In addition to Gardner’s appearance, the production will also feature performances from some of Trinidad and Tobago’s leading gospel voices, including Blessed Messenger, Sean Daniel, Jaron Nurse and Pastor Terrance Baynes, along with artistes from Jamm Productions.

Organizers describe the event as one amazing show spread across two powerful nights, bringing together gospel music, worship and inspiration for audiences in both Trinidad and Tobago. Early bird tickets are currently priced at TT$200 and are available through Island eTickets.

Couleurs Urbaines 2026 Brings Reggae & Urban Sounds to Southern France

The 18th edition of the Couleurs Urbaines Festival is scheduled to take place from June 5-7, 2026 at the scenic Parc de la Navale in southern France. Widely regarded as one of the premier reggae and urban music festivals in the region, the annual event continues to blend reggae, dancehall, dub, afro, hip-hop and tropical bass music across three days of live entertainment.

This year’s lineup features an eclectic mix of international and francophone talent including Danakil, Clinton Fearon, Maureen, Kybba, Ronisia, THK, Bleu Soleil, Shannon and several prominent DJs from the European tropical bass and dancehall scenes. Organizers have also confirmed that more than 20 acts will perform across two open-air stages.

Founded in 2008 by the Culture Plus association, Couleurs Urbaines has grown into a major cultural attraction in the Mediterranean region, drawing thousands of patrons annually. Beyond the music, the festival is known for its community atmosphere, artisan village, food vendors, eco-conscious initiatives and inclusive programming aimed at celebrating Caribbean and urban cultures.
