Veteran reggae artist Mikey General has teamed up with international vocalist Miriam Simone to release a beautiful new single titled Breath of Life. The ballad sees both artists celebrating the miracle of life while offering gratitude to the Most High.
The single will also appear on Mikey General’s upcoming album, which is scheduled for release later this year. “Breath of Life” was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica last year with the late producer Sheldon “Calibud” Stewart, who passed away at the end of June 2025. The project therefore holds special significance as one of the final productions he worked on before his passing.
The production was powered by Dredda Records in association with Bredda Sounds and Qabalah First Music. Speaking about the collaboration, Miriam Simone praised Mikey General’s spirit and artistry, describing the recording session as a natural experience that grew out of shared gratitude for life’s blessings.
She also reflected on their long-standing friendship, noting that the two artists have known each other for years and share a deep connection through music and faith. Mikey General echoed the sentiment, recalling their first meeting at Bobby Digital’s studio many years ago and expressing appreciation for MiriamSimone’s voice, which he believes complements his own perfectly.
Breath of Life is now available on all major streaming platforms, it went live on March 9, 2026.
