The decision follows the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on Jamaica, where many of the festival’s featured artists reside. Several performers have been directly affected, shifting their priorities toward rebuilding and recovery during this challenging time.

In a statement shared by Headcornerstone Entertainment, the team expressed that the postponement was made out of deep respect and solidarity with the people of Jamaica. They emphasized that the well-being of the community and the artists remains paramount. A new date for the Jamhuri Reggae Festival 2025 will be announced once conditions stabilize and it is appropriate to move forward.
