Sound System Club and Sound Addicts Live have joined forces to present the Kumingoli Island Bash, a five-day festival set for August 4th to August 8th, 2026, in Cape Maclear, Malawi. The event promises an immersive experience that blends world-class music with cultural showcases and outdoor adventure.
The festival will feature live performances from Jamaican and African artists, including some of Malawi’s most celebrated acts. In addition to the main stage, a cultural stage will spotlight local traditions, while festivalgoers can also enjoy a casino and a wide range of activities such as water sports, bird watching, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, sailing, hiking, windsurfing, sunbathing, and paddle boarding.
Among the first confirmed artists is reggae singer Andrew Tosh, son of the legendary Peter Tosh and nephew of Bunny Wailer, both original members of the iconic Wailers. Known for his striking vocal resemblance to his father, Andrew Tosh is expected to deliver some of Peter Tosh’s most timeless songs, making his performance one of the festival’s highlights.
More artists, sound systems, and selectors are set to be announced in the months leading up to the event, building anticipation for what is shaping up to be a standout celebration of music, culture, and natural beauty.
