Late last year, reggae singer Ambelique teamed up with veteran producer Willie Lindo to release “Blind Spot”, a 14-track album that went live on streaming platforms on November 15, under HeavyBeat Records.
A few months after the release, the opening track “I’m Thankful”—a heartfelt song expressing gratitude to God—began gaining heavy rotation on reggae radio programs worldwide. Its success inspired Ambelique and Lindo to film an official video, directed by Maria Jackson 27, at Fort Lauderdale Beach and Deerfield Park (Florida) in April. The video is now available on YouTube.
“Blind Spot”, crafted without any collaborative features, is powered by a stellar lineup of legendary musicians and vocalists: the late Robbie Shakespeare on bass, Sly Dunbar and Kashief Lindo on drum programming, Paul Douglas on drums, Robbie Lyn and Dave Richards on keys, Dean Fraser on saxophone, Willie Lindo and Hux Brown on guitar, and backing vocals from Ambelique, Pam Hall, Nikesha Lindo, and Shavanique.
With its rich musicianship and timeless reggae feel, “Blind Spot” is streaming worldwide on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora, iTunes, and more.
