The 15th Annual Jamaica Poetry Festival will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the University of Technology, Jamaica. This year’s theme is Celebrating art in Action and Creativity in Nation Building with clean, intelligent fun for the entire family and community.

Confirmed performers include Mutabaruka, Professor Mervyn Morris, Mik, Tony Gregory, Yasus Afari, Coleen Douglas, Diana Williams, Akinsanya, Mugo Barrington, Calvin Mitchell, Calbert & the Allstar Drummers, and Asaima. Notably, there will be a tribute to Dennis ‘DJ’ Johnson, and Vivian Crawford will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The day’s schedule is as follows: there will be a creative arts workshop and open mic from 10 AM to 2 PM, followed by a charity dinner from 4 PM to 6 PM. The main event, featuring performances, will begin at 7 PM. Tickets are available for purchase at firstinlineja.com.
