Great music lives forever! “God Answers Prayers,” a gospel-reggae ska song produced by legendary guitarist, producer, and engineer Willie Lindo and written and performed by inspirational recording artist Derrick Scott, has received a special honor years after it was first shared. It has achieved chart-topping success and now has a plaque that marks its accomplishment.

Three years ago, “God Answers Prayers” climbed to the #1 spot on the South Florida Reggae Chart curated by respected broadcaster Clinton Lindsay. It remained on the chart for several weeks, touching many hearts with its positive message, before eventually retiring. In August of this year, Clinton Lindsay publicly praised Derrick Scott by giving him a long-overdue memorial tablet, formally recognizing the track’s favorable outcome. This recognition has led to a renewed interest in “God Answers Prayers,” with many believing it may soon find its way back onto charts and playlists, attracting new fans.

While Scott and his team celebrate this remarkable accomplishment, they are also concomitantly preparing for the 2024 Gospel Mission Concert, which will be held on November 16 at the Unity New Testament Church of God in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.
