Earth Hour Jamaica

On March 23rd at 8:30 p.m., Jamaica will join Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America for Earth Hour. For sixty minutes homes across the world will switch off their lights in an attempt to highlight the dangerous decline in nature, climate change, and the need to work together to secure a brighter future for the planet.

Earth Hour JA, a Jamaica-based organization focused on monitoring climate change and providing information about about it, will be hosting a concert on the previously mentioned date to further accentuate the issue. The event will start at 4 p.m. at Hope Gardens in Kingston, and will feature performances by Etana, Alaine, Warrior King, Iotosh, and Alexx A-Game.

Free tickets are available on their website: earthhourja-dot-com. Anyone who shows up without a pass will have to pay $1,000 JMD to get in.
