One of the definitions for the word Golden is: ‘(of a period) very happy and prosperous.’ With that in mind, I think we can all make assumptions as to the current state of reggae’s queen, Marcia Griffiths, as that is the title of her new album.

Two weeks ago (on September 8th), Griffiths – in collaboration with Kemisphere Music and Donsome Records – released Golden, an eleven-track record which, among other things, celebrates her fifty-ninth year in music.

Producers that contributed to Golden are Errol “The Kemist” Thompson, Adrian Hanson of Donsome Records, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, Clive Hunt, Donovan Germain, and Silly Walks Discotheque out of Germany.
