Young Veterans’ label releases the Fire Avenue Riddim compilation featuring a host of artists exclusively on the Artekal Music reggae streaming platform.
Through a partnership forged between Artekal Music and the Young Veterans independent reggae record label, the complete Young Veterans catalog will now be available for streaming via Artekal Music. This of course includes the label’s latest roots rhythm, Fire Avenue Riddim, featuring Capleton, Luciano, Pressure, Fantan Mojah, Shuga, Ginjah, Ras Shiloh, Kandiman, Fyakin, Qraig, Hikaliba, Zamunda, and Anthony B.
After months of hard work in the studio, the Young Veterans’ team is happy to finally announce the release of the Fire Avenue Riddim. They are also very excited about unveiling it via the Artekal Music platform. Child sexual abuse and human trafficking are far-reaching life altering issues that affect more individuals and communities than are often imagined. The Female Development World Organization’s (FDWO) and a host committee of local leaders are again stepping up to address these issues by raising funds, serving as advocates and bringing awareness at the third annual Protect the Children Gala; Thursday, June 28, 2018 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm at the brand new Crystal Ballroom located at The Venue in Fort Lauderdale.
The event attire is formal, and the activities include a cocktail reception pre-event, music, silent auction, food and artistic performances throughout. Guests will have opportunities to network with international leaders in business, arts, politics, community and culture; while learning about FWDO’s strong leadership in ensuring legislations are in place while supporting efforts that raise awareness about the prevention of Child Abuse and Human Trafficking as well as necessary interventions and supports for survivors.

Jam Link International, the organizers of the annual Aarhus Reggae Festival, has announced that Macka B, the UK based reggae artist, will be the headlining act for this year’s Dancehall Night.
Macka B, is a British-born, Jamaican reggae artist, performer and activist, with a career spanning thirty years in the United Kingdom and Jamaica. According to AllMusic.com, “Macka B was one of Britain’s most influential dancehall toasters.”
The Aarhus Reggae Festival will be held at Voxhall – which is located at Vester Allé 15, 8000 – in Aarhus, Denmark, on August 24th and 25th. Macka B’s performance will be on the 24th.
