Two versions of the tune were shared on Friday, December 17th: the main mix, which is a bright chirpy reggae song, as well as a dub style.

Paul Patmore Production Shares Official Video For “Rooted & Grounded”

Since it was released at the beginning of September, Rooted & Grounded – the upbeat dancehall song performed by Terry Linen and Dipmatik – have been getting heavy rotation on radio, as well as consistent feature on music platforms.

The overwhelmingly positive feedback led Paul Patmore, the producer, to create some visuals, hoping that it would give the record even more exposure.

That said, the video was filmed in Falmouth, Trelawney (Jamaica) approximately two weeks ago. It was subsequently edited and have since been released. It tells the story of a drug pusher turned Christian after being robbed and almost killed on the streets of Jamaica.

The visuals were directed, shot and edited by Maria Jackson.

Sharon Marley Honors Rita Marley By Remaking “Just One More Morning” (@nanaritamarley)

The official video for Sharon‘s version was released yesterday (December 16) on both digital and traditional media. Veteran Reggae Artist Screwdriver Back In The Limelight With Trending Single “Longing For Your Touch”

Many people may remember veteran reggae artist Screwdriver from songs like “We Rule,” “Soundboy Killa” and most notably, his mega hit “No Mama (Sharon Yuh Pregnant?),” which was released in 89. Although the singer continued to share several singles and albums over the years, he has kept somewhat of a low profile, only surfacing to do his shows and record for selective producers.

Screwdriver‘s tranquil lifestyle may be interrupted in the new year as one of his recently released singles is beginning to trend. The song is a catchy lovers-rock tune called Longing For Your Touch, done in his signature style.

Longing For Your Touch is one of 15 songs featured on Upstairs Music‘s The Train Is Coming Riddim. The compilation, which was first shared in September, has so far produced at least four heavily rotated songs: Kristine Alicia‘s Roots Rock ReggaeWayne Armond‘s Yaya and title tracks performed by Ken Boothe and Dwight Pinkney respectively. Screwdriver‘s song is now the fifth.

Fans and supporters of the Saint James artist should not be surprised by the success of this track, as this seems to be the result whenever Screwdriver collaborates with Danny Breakenridge of Upstairs Music. Persons may remember that the two released the African Union album in 2013; and much like this new single, it also had great reviews.

Minister Marion Hall (Formerly Lady Saw) Releases New Music ‘If I Was Famous’

Minister Marion Hall (formerly Lady Saw) is in a reflective mode with her newest single, “If I Was Famous.” The self-produced track, which dropped today, December 17, 2021, paints a stark contrast between her present life as an ordained minister and her past career as a Dancehall artiste.

As she describes, the beat was sent to her by God and she met with Clarky from Chromatic and several musicians that he had worked with before to lay down the track. From that, the lyrics flowed and resulted in a high energy, enticing track.

Distributed by Zojak World Wide, “If I Was Famous” is available for purchase and streaming on major digital platforms online.
