The reigning Groovy Soca Monarch Champion Olantuji teams with the reigning Power Soca Monarch Machel Montano for this groovy soca gem, which debuted in the Top 100 on the iTunes Canada Reggae Top Songs chart, during its first week of release.

Produced by David “MillBeatz” Millien for MillBeatz Entertainment, the song was a rare teaming of competing champions, as Olatunji and Montano unite for the party anthem “Where I’m From.”

The audio-only videos have already racked up over 100-thousand views collectively on YouTube, and the track continues to gather steam as it propels all parties into the 2016 Trinidad Carnival season, where it is bound to stay atop fan and fete playlists for years to come.

Young people are our future, and with proper guidance, training and mentoring their natural God-given talents and creativity can be channelled to positive and progressive endeavours.

Countrystyle Community Tourism Network (CCTN), in association with Young Women/ Men for Purpose (YWOP/YMOP), is unleashing the potential of our young people by organising a ‘Countrystyle Youth Entrepreneurial Workshop/Rap Session’ on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 9.00am – 1.00pm at the Mandeville Hotel, 4 Hotel Street, Mandeville. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr Marcia Brandon, Founder and Managing Director of the Caribbean Centre for Excellence and Sustainable Livelihoods in Barbados.

Dr Brandon, a Jamaican who has been training entrepreneurs worldwide for the past five years, is a social entrepreneur, with expertise in NGO management & sustainability, business mentoring, youth entrepreneurship & youth development as well as partnership building and connecting. She has been lauded as a pioneer in youth entrepreneurship development globally.

Entrepreneurship, according to businessdictionary.com is ‘the capacity and willingness to develop, organise and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit.’ With ‘hands-on’ and practical exercises this workshop will prepare our young people for entrepreneurship as it will cover the mindset, behaviours and the characteristics needed to be a successful entrepreneur.

Countrystyle Community Tourism Network/Villages CCTN/VAB) Villages as Businesses – an organization developed to give training, business development and marketing support to communities, is responsible for organising this entrepreneurial workshop. Diana McIntyre-Pike, Founder and President of CCTN/VAB, is world renowned for creating Community Experience tours, spreading the vision of economically sustainable communities and preparing villages to participate in Community Tourism.

Though the album will not be officially released until the New Year, the producer wanted to ensure that DJs can have the tracks to play over the holiday season. 00-DRE-ISLAND-HIGH-RES Reggae artiste Dre Island is gearing up for his first live show in Jamaica. The event dubbed, “Dre Island and the Jah Kingdom Warriors Live” is slated for Saturday, December 12 at Nanook, 20 Burlington Avenue. The young star has enjoyed a breakthrough 2015 which has seen him chart with singles such as On Time and My Love.

The Rastafari Way artiste has been getting rave reviews since his arrival onto the Reggae scene and has churned out hits including Hide Away which has gained him much admiration from peers and fans. Dre Island has also carved out a strong international following and was part of the Reparation UK Summer Tour alongside Chronixx which wrapped in August 2015.

The young Reggae artiste continues to shoot for the stars in 2016 and with the release of his latest single M16, seems to have his sights set on his target. M16 is the first single released off Dre Island’s EP/LP entitled Project Now I Rise which is expected to be released in 2016. The single has already begun to gain traction with good rotation on BBC 1Xtra Capital Xtra and BBC Radio 1 as well as local airwaves.

Dre Island’s first full live performance on Saturday, December 12 will be hosted by popular media personality, Debbie Bissoon. Admission is JMD $1000.

The Grammy-Award winning artiste teamed up with Bynon, a British Canadian EDM DJ and music producer for the Ganja Manremix.

The Full Frequency artiste’s remix of Jidenna’s 38 Million YouTube viewsClassic Man single has created a buzz as it continues to blaze local and international airwaves.

The multi-platinum recording artiste ignited Sri Lanka on Saturday, November 28 as he turned up the Temperature inside Havelock Sports Grounds in Colombo for Sean Paul Live in Concert. Sean Paul is next expected to perform in Paris at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-21) before performing in Geneva, Switzerland on December 12.

Sean Paul’s United Nations performance comes on the back of his work on the Love Song to the Earth track, a multi artiste collaboration which popularly inspired action at the UN climate conference in September.
