DJ Nicholas’ Album Launch Takes Place On July 21 – Jamaica (@djnicholas2)

On the Shout Records presents DJ Nicholas’ “The Audiologist” Album Launch and Concert, on Friday July 21st at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Center in Kingston, Jamaica.

The event features Grammy nominated artists: Todd Dulaney (Victory Belongs to Jesus), Jermaine Edwards, Ryan Mark, Kimola Brown, Kevin Smith, Kevin Heath, Dunamis Reignz, Yankee B, D.A.Jay, Samuel Medas from Guyana, Chris Black, Gray Patch and the top 10 JCDC Gospel Finalists.

All are invited! Entrance cost is only $1,000, $1,500 with an album and children under 12 can enter for free. All artists will be backed by On the Shout Band. The show will run from 7 pm to 11 pm.

The award-winning lyricist, composer, producer and Jamaican-born gospel artist, Jermaine Gordon has released an electronic dance music version (EDM) of one of his hit songs.

The song has become a huge favorite Jamaican worship song being performed in many Caribbean, English-speaking and Spanish-speaking countries in both North & South America. The mix was done by Dan Giffin, a drummer and audio engineer from Indianapolis, trained as a Mastering Engineer by the Multi-Platinum, Grammy, and Emmy-nominated audio engineer – Daniel Wyatt.

Minister Gordon, hopes this will become a favorite in the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, US and Australia and says it is certainly the first of more EDMs to be done. He also believes other artists will follow suit, as this presents an alternate style to music typically being produced in Jamaica. Fans of Jermaine Gordon can expect more new releases in 2017, as since doing his debut album in 2012, fans have been eagerly awaiting new music.

Erykah and Mary Two extraordinary voices: Erykah Badu and Mary J. Blige set to rock the Lucca Festival on July 12th in Italy. The two R&B Queens will headline a night celebrating black music.

With six albums, Erykah Badu is one of the most expressive Black artist in music history to date. She has done everything from RnB to psychedelic, continuously growing her fan base as she travels through the various genres. She is an icon with an eccentric look that we have come to admire as much as her music. Most noteably, she displays a genuine femininity and Black roots that is effectively a part of her musical style.

Mary J. Blige, iconic singer, Grammy Award winner, singer-songwriter, actress and philanthropist, is a figure of great inspiration, transformation and empowerment and is, in fact, one of the most important voices in contemporary music today. Mary J. Blige has an impressive list of records in her career, eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards (plus the incredible number of thirty-two nominations), a nomination for the 2012 Golden Globe and five American Music Awards. on April 28th she released her thirteenth studio album, STRENGTH OF A WOMAN.

Jamaican roots/reggae artist, Don Carlos, who is the co-founder of Black Uhuru, will play at the popular Club Annabel in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Weds. Aug. 9th.

Ever since the release of his breakthrough album, ‘Suffering,’ released in 1981, Don Carlos has gained a massive fan base across Europe; as such, he is always well received in that region.

On Saturday, August 19th Red Rat will join General Degree, Buccaneer, Hawkeye and Goofy on stage at the MIRF 2017, for the commencement of Dancehall night. The men, all from the Main Street Crew, will be performing all of their hits from the 90’s!

The Montreal International Reggae Festival takes place at Jacques-Cartier Wharf at the Old Port in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on August 18th, 19th and 20th.
