Two weeks ago Karamanti’s latest single “read” was sitting in the #1 position on Roots FM’s Conscious Top Ten Chart in Jamaica. This week, her track “don’t it” is the #1 song on Canada’s Rebel Vibez Top Ten Reggae Chart which airs on 105.5 fm in Toronto, Ontario. Additionally, her single, “who you are” is this week’s #8 song on Bess FM’s Top Ten Culture Chart; this chart comes on every Thursday at 4pm on Bess 100 FM in Kingston, Jamaica.

Every so often there comes a track that captures the attention of everyone that hears it in an unexplainable manner. Whether it is the message, the rhythm or the flow, it simply has that IT factor. Karamanti’s single “read” is one such track.
As the name implies, the song speaks about the importance of reading and associates the degrading lyrics and images in music with the presenter’s ignorance. Since its release, the track has been getting favorable radio rotation both on the local and international scene.
In early October it entered the Conscious Top 10 chart which is featured on the program Intensity Friday, every Friday from 6pm -8pm on Roots 96.1 FM (in Jamaica). As of Friday, November 2nd, “read” is sitting in the number one spot.

To say Karamanti is busy would be a gross understatement. Since returning home (from a little over a month in North America) Karamanti and her team have been putting together a full promotional campaign with the intent to finish 2012 as strong as or even stronger than they started.

Additionally, Karamanti has now released the video for her single “who you are” on local networks in Jamaica. The video which was released online approximately one month ago is now in regular rotation on stations such as Hype, RE, CVM PLUS and others.
